If 2018 elections put Democrates in control Trump will be impeached in earl 2018. My thought is if Trump did not have contact with the Russians why is he so upset about this investigation. When your innocent there will be no evidence. If he is innocent he could have dug his own grave by firing Comey which means he interfered with an ongoing criminal investigation. Just leaving Comey to do his job he would have found no evidence against Trump, Why Fire cComey if you did nothing wrong.

If the 2918 elections shows the end of GOP congressional dominance, I agree he will impeached in 2019. It will be interesting to see who else is impeach, including Pence and other cabinet members...

No. Al Green already introduced impeachment articles on the House floor and only 40 democrats voted in favor of proceeding to hearings. That's barely 1/5th of House Democrats.

Which means democrats could hold every single seat in the House, and 4/5th of the chamber would have still voted against the mere motion to consider.

Furthermore, Al Green's Articles of Impeachment was only a list of gripes about Trump. There were no actual criminal charges in it. Which means the Constitutional criteria for impeachment were not met, that is, a conviction of a high crime or misdemeamor.

Which means even if the House voted in favor of impeachment and the Senate to convict, the entire thing would be overturned by the Supreme Court so fast your head will spin, and I'd be suprised if you could even get Ruth Bader Ginsburg to dissent on that.

Impeachment can only be done on crimes, not on griping.

Unless Mueller eventually pulls something tangible out of the sky by way of a crime, then Trump will NOT be impeached, regardless of the makeup of congress.

I can't say much for congressional democrats, but at least that vote showed that most of them aren't outright insane like Al Green and Maxine Waters.

Politics is corrupt. Politicians are corrupt...on both sides of the aisle. Trump can't resist being in the spotlight and making a ton of money. He wanted to win so bad he made sure he won the presidency. Trump has no moral compass and he tried to surround himself with people who would never oppose him. Problem is some of those people do have a moral compass and wouldn't go along with his crazy ideas. Trump is becoming frantic and nervous because Muller is getting close and his loyal team is starting to bail on him. When it comes down to it I doubt a Democratic ruling in both House and Senate would impeach Trump. Republicans are distancing themselves in order to protect their own jobs. If it all comes out that Trump became president because of collusion with Russia I am sure the GOP will impeach him.

You're thinking logically. Trump has never acted logically.

No. However if the Dems win even one house of congress, Trump will spend the next two years as a lame duck.

The corporate democrats are already running away from the prospect of impeaching Lord Dampnut, as well as several issues that could hand them easy victories; like legalizing weed and restoring net neutrality. I think they're already planning to blow the midterms.
