Question:
Why is Gov. Walker only targeting teachers, but not other state unions?

In reading Wisconsin governor Walkers budget, and his assault on the collective bargaining rights of Wisconsin Teacher Unions, it is apparent that he is only targeting the teachers and schools.

Why is he only asking teachers and schools to make cuts, but not police or fire unions to make similar sacrifices.

He claims that it is about the budget, but in reality, he is only targeting a specific group, and only considering the spending side of the equation, and not the revenue side.

QUESTION:
Why are other Wisconsin state unions exempt from Walker's wrath, but teachers and schools are asked to make all the sacrifices. Why are our children's education the first neck on the chopping block, but not policemen's pensions, or firemen's collective bargaining rights?

.... He's against all of them, as is his bill. He's trying to crush his state for his personal political gain.

Not only is he trying to take away all public employees' right to collectively bargain (anti-First Amendment), on page 3, paragraph 3 of his bill you'll see Walker is trying to STEAL the public employees' ALREADY EARNED pensions.

Walker needs to be fired. Then again, Snot Walker is the best thing to happen to the Democratic Party since Dumbya.

Walker is not making tough choices. He is making political choices, and they are designed not to balance budgets but to improve his political position and that of his party. In fact, like just about every other state in the country, Wisconsin is managing in a weak economy. The difference is that Wisconsin is managing better -- or at least it had been managing better until Walker took over.

In its Jan. 31 memo to legislators on the condition of the state’s budget, the Fiscal Bureau determined that the state will end the year with a balance of $121.4 million.

To the extent that there is an imbalance -- Walker claims there is a $137 million deficit -- it is not because of a drop in revenues or increases in the cost of state employee contracts, benefits or pensions. It is because Walker and his allies pushed through $140 million in new spending for special-interest groups in January.

Walker gins up 'crisis' to reward cronies

So then Obama might desire to be "long previous after" for ethics violations (albeit i don't see how he can violate some thing he would not have) for exempting unions and specific enterprise from his well-being care crap. Goose and Gander. instructors in Wi. make close to to ninety grand a twelve months. needless to say there's a instructor someplace that did not do a reliable activity. now ask urself why basically the lecturers properly heres why because of the fact there extra democratic and the different unions who're payed by using tax payers are extra republican an voted for him.

Lol-why is there no mention that teachers pay their pensions with deferred compensation money.Sounds familiar......Oh yeah,Hitler used that same strategy to use Jews as the scape goats.Got Germans to focus on them so he could further his world domination plans. Why is there no mention of lawmakers lifetime benefits for serving one term and full pensions after 12 years of service. In real life, workers have to work 20-25 years to even get 3/4 pensions or more?

Focus the public on one seemingly bad group as misdirection, seems to be working great.

One step at a time. Not all unions are created equal, and many are much more corrupt than others but nearly all of them are have become counterproductive to their stated goals long ago.

The NEA just makes themselves as easy target because of their numerous high profile acts of incompetence. Hell, even many of their former administrators admit to incompetence (although they naturally word it differently). The outward appearance of gross self interest and being unreasonable is much easier to tolerate from a teamster than it is from a teacher, and the reasons for that should be fairly obvious.

Those unions gave money to Republican campaigns and supported the governor until he revealed that he was going to bust unions. Now that they have come out against him they are in trouble next year.

It's not just teachers...all public sector unions except police and firemen.

1. He might need the assistance of firefighters.

2. Cops have guns.
