Why not sell California and New York to China to save the economy?

One way to get rid of this housing and debt mess is to get rid of the rotten core! Why not get rid of the biggest cancers on the US economy? Sell liberal states California and New York to China!

I don't know how it would help.We would have to run it probably still send money to it and five years from now end up buying it back triple the price we sold it for.
