Goliath being defeated by a David, Jon Stewart is just a Comedian and he "rips them a new one" without effort nightly. They are their own worst enemy.

I love Jon Stewart and his "The Daily Show"! Stephen Colbert is no slouch either on giving far-right-wing extremists their comeuppance.

Faux "news" (foreign owned and maliciously inaccurate on a regular basis, usually deliberately so) is the only station of which I'm aware that sued for the "right to lie" in a Florida court and won---they did not want their reporters telling the truth about a sponsor (Monsanto) using cancer-causing hormones in milk, so they fired the reporters, who sued them and initially won their claim of wrongful termination. But then Faux appealed in a Jeb-Bush Florida court and got a reversal, ergo, "the right to lie" to the public. They do not deserve to be called a news station!

You are a hypocrite.

How is it that Jon Stewart "a mere entertainer' gets a pass when Rush Limbaugh "a mere entertainer doesn't?

Liberals pick and chose the winners and losers in society and this is not how a free and equal country works. It is displayed with this example. The rules apply across the board or they don't. Stewart gets a pass but Limbaugh cannot buy a foot ball team because of implied accusation of racism which he isn't.

The hypocrisy sickens me.

HERMAN CAIN, THE BLACK GUY, SAID STEWART DID A RACIST THING . NOW IT IS OK BECAUSE A LIBERAL SAID IT! (SHAKING HEAD IN DISBELIEF)

Jon Stewart is actually a very good commentator and journalist but because he is a comedian and his observations are wrapped in humor and satire many people don’t take him seriously. His comments cut to the heart of the matter and present the truth in a form that is somewhat more palatable but very insightful. His observations about Fox News are not only discerning but they are also informative.

Well, it's easy to "rip someone a new one" if you are not constrained by facts, logic or have the ability to duck behind "hey, I'm just a comedian" things get rocky.

Jon Stewart is the best media critic we ever had - but then the 24 hour cable news Media has made it too easy for him - It is shooting fish in a barrel almost to the point of being unsportsmanlike. FOX especially, but all of the 24 hour news providers are guilty of eye rolling nonsense, talkingpoint-ease, utter inconsistency, and complete falsehoods offered as fact. They are all guilty but FOX has raised this to Jaw-dropping art form.

Agree Colossally, they better walk on egg shells around Jon. he's like their bully. straighten up and act right. be nonpartisan and they'll earn credit from all sides or stay the course and slowly become a laughing stock of our country. I watch Fox News to try to understand the conservative side of a political debate. it's what they are good for. after a few minutes i have to turn the channel or I'll start arguing with the TV.

Fox is literally just a sad, demented extension of the Republican party. Most of what they say on those "news" show are just blatant lies. I'm not insinuating that the liberal media doesn't have a biased but all in all their facts are far more substantiated than Fox.

Jon Stewart is a pseudo comedic-political genius, Fox makes it too easy for him.

I just read the other answers and all I have to say is FOX NEWS LIES ON A REGULAR BASIS. I am all for having a right-winged biased news source but Fox tells OUTLANDISH lies and THAT is where my issue lies. You can't believe a lot of what the media tells you, you need to look it up yourselves. You are just sheep in a republican parade how do you not see that!?

Um, Jon Stewart is a comic. The Daily Show is not, I repeat NOT, a news program. It's a comedy production. Well, at least it USED to be.

Stewart, wow, the mentally of our country is going down the toilet if people are taking Stewart seriously. I can't stand watching him, he never says anything important.
2011-06-29 13:14:27 UTC
With no offense to Jon, it just sort of proves that he's fallen off comically. He was on top of his game a few years ago, and he's still funny, but it seems like Colbert is just clearly funnier at the moment. You know that he's a bit desperate when he starts going after Fox News - it's like shooting fish in a barrel, they're practically a parody of themselves and it doesn't take much effort to make fun of them. Really, all you have to do is repeat what they say to a liberal audience and they'll find it hilarious.
2011-06-29 13:16:14 UTC
Disagree,,,,seems just another youth that cannot differentiate comedy and satire from politics.

After seeing this is in the kanuck section your ignorant of fact question makes sense.
2011-06-29 13:15:24 UTC
Okay so he outsmarted Fox News last night. Does it really matter? If you hate Fox News, try watching CNN or MSNBC.
2011-06-29 13:19:08 UTC
LOL No he didn't... but if it keeps you calm to think that he did then go ahead. We wouldn't want you to lose your impulse control and start destroying property and attacking law enforcement in protest or something

Stewart is a racists. I say that loudly too. When he went into a Amos and Andy dialect about Herman Cain, I saw him totally as a racists. He may be a comedian, but I do not find him one bit funny.
2011-06-29 13:15:47 UTC
Still the most popular cable news show, as many viewers as the other combined, so I think you're just wishful thinking. The majority of Americans hold conservative values, and they need a channel where their own values are not being ridiculed and disparaged on a droning continual basis.

You must know that any thinking American takes anyone named "Jon" with a grain of salt...lmao
