Question:
Why do those on the left call Palin an idiot?
?
2013-07-31 11:42:33 UTC
She was an extraordinarily successful and popular governor of Alaska, was picked and ran for VP, more than holding her own against Uncle Joe Biden in the debates and makes millions a year from her speaking tour.

And still they see her as an idiot.

Do you find it as humorous as I do that these folks who, for the most part still live with their mother and can barely hold down a job at Walmart are calling a woman with this level of accomplishment an idiot? If SHE is an idiot, do they not understand what that makes them? Probably not.

(BTW, the same goes for George W. Bush, but he's not current. I just always have to chuckle at these waterheads.)

Tradition! Liberals have, and still do, try to defame any conservative who becomes popular in the public's eye.

Yeeehhh, it truly is all that remained from the ideology of the conservatives contained in the 21th century - status as a lot as something or someone (extraordinarily if those someones and somethings are the wide monetary corps and their pastimes) guess liberals ought to no longer anticipate something from GOP, do exactly their business enterprise and communicate to a spade a spade, a Palin a Palin, a plastic dummy a plastic dummy etc. GOP became into an ideological ghost

I think it all started with her seeing Russia from her house in Alaska and then went down hill from there. - and it isn't just the left that thinks she signed the ID-10T form long ago.... She is probably responsible for more Independent Votes going to Obama during the first election than anybody else. The Republicans had the right idea, just the wrong "token" to try and add a little diversity to McCain's ticket. - and she has since only added to the split in the Republican Party as a whole instead of working towards some kind of unity.

Obama is president... cons call him an idiot?

me personally, I think politicians, even ones with "accomplishments" can still be idiots... even democrat ones...

if you think they are all rocket scientists... well, that's your business...

I also know some very smart people that just didn't do so well in life.. bad social skills and not good with people... maybe you think that's being an idiot? but they were great at math and problem solving...I guess it's all relative

EDIT: so, if someone makes more money than you do, then that person is smarter and better than you are?

paris hilton makes more than most people... amanda bynes... lindsey lohan (but she puts it right back up her nose)... they get thousands just for making appearances at clubs...

are they in your personal mensa club as well?

I just don't think your logic holds water...

Good question. It was criminal that false accusations forced her into legal action for defense and never lost once. She was and is completely clean. She is outspoken but she is a great American. The Left always targets the ones they fear the most. And unfortunately, the low information voter is the recipient.

Reminds me of 2008 when Howard Stern was interviewing Obama supporters and asked them how they liked that Obama-Palin ticket ?. they said "oh she's great we really love her". They were even lower than low.

Because they think she is an idiot. Is that so hard?

However once again they are hyping Caroline Kennedy for ambassador. Did they forget the disaster ( deer headlights) Caroline was when they last tried to get her into politics?

Does anyone know how long they made that poor girl suffer?

She is a blithering idiot, and many Republican leaders agree. But that's only part of her problem.

The woman traveled around the country in a bus collecting campaign contributions from her supporters, and then didn't run. So she exploited her own people for cash. Now, many politicians from both sides of the aisle are corrupt but hat was just mean, especially since many of her supporters are low-income hardworking folk from rural America.

And her temperament is as big a problem as her intellect. To lead effectively you need to build consensus. She is, instead, a living tabloid, just stirring the pot which is good for her bank account and bad for the country. What, specifically, are her proposals? All I hear is complaining.

PS: we get your simplistic point, but I think I've accomplished more that Sarah Palin. By my standards she is a self serving idiot, and her "success" as you call it is an indictment on the intelligence of those who give her money and make her famous. Did you cut her a check? If so doesn't that make you feel stupid? She's really not that different from a corrupt televangelist. Whats worse: the idiots who make these idiots famous, or the famous idiots themselves? We report, you decide.

She and Anthony Wiener have something in common. They both have Twitter problems. He can't stop tweeting pictures of his junk, and she can't stop tweeting comments that are on the same intellectual level as Anthony Wieners junk. She is an idiot because of what she says, not because she is a woman, not because she is a Republican and not because she is a conservative. Even McCain's top advisers knew they had a problem with her, so saying that it is just liberals who have a negative view of her is avoiding the subject.

It is truly pointless to debate whether or not Sarah Palin is an idiot. A discussion with someone who believes she is not amounts to arguing with a crocodile over whether or not an alligator is an ugly animal.

Palin is far more intelligent than many of the Liberal Senators the left likes to trumpet as a model of their own values.

@ Tom B: Good point…most liberal voters are too stupid to distinguish between Sarah Palin and Tina Fey and have no idea (yourself included apparently) that Sarah Palin actually said you could see Russia from places in Alaska (and she’s right). Tina Fey said she could see Russia from her house…and low information liberal voters like yourself ate it up.

Hmmm interesting question, so Palin is wealthy and in demand by the Right Wing, even though she is a quitter who raised taxes in Alaska to their highest level in history, handed out oil dividend cheques and called them 'Socialism, but for Alaskans", was found guilty of misuse of public office but never charged because she had already quit, failed to pay land taxes on personal property she owns, built a $26,000,000.00 sports centre (now closed) for a town of 8000, and a tax base of 3000 people.......you are right!.....SHE IS NOT THE STUPID ONE.........(people who admire her are)

Everyone with a brain calls her an idiot, whether they are right wing or left wing. They call her an idiot because she is an idiot and anyone who thinks otherwise must be on an intellectual par with this mutt faced retard.

I've always thought of her as not being very bright, but she's a genius compared to Dianne Feinstein.

She was not a successful governor.

Would you call a marathon runner a "successful runner" if he quit the marathon half way through?

2. "The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's 'death panel' so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their 'level of productivity in society,' whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil." –-Sarah Palin, in a message posted on Facebook about Obama's health care plan, Aug. 7, 2009

3. "All of 'em, any of 'em that have been in front of me over all these years." --Sarah Palin, unable to name a single newspaper or magazine she reads, interview with Katie Couric, CBS News, Oct. 1, 2008 (Watch video clip)

4. "Well, let's see. There's ― of course in the great history of America there have been rulings that there's never going to be absolute consensus by every American, and there are those issues, again, like Roe v. Wade, where I believe are best held on a state level and addressed there. So, you know, going through the history of America, there would be others but ―" --Sarah Palin, unable to name a Supreme Court decision she disagreed with other than Roe vs. Wade, interview with Katie Couric, CBS News, Oct. 1, 2008 (Watch video clip)

5. "'Refudiate,' 'misunderestimate,' 'wee-wee'd up.' English is a living language. Shakespeare liked to coin new words too. Got to celebrate it!'" --a Tweet sent by Sarah Palin in response to being ridiculed for inventing the word "refudiate," proudly mistaking her illiteracy for literary genius, July 18, 2010

6. "He who warned, uh, the British that they weren't gonna be takin' away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed." --Sarah Palin, botching the history of Paul Revere's midnight ride, June 3, 2011

7. "But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies." --Sarah Palin, after being asked how she would handle the current hostilities between the two Koreas, interview on Glenn Beck's radio show, Nov. 24, 2010

That is reprehensible." --Sarah Palin, defending her fiery campaign rhetoric in the wake of the Arizona shooting massacre by invoking a phrase ("blood libel") that typically refers historically to the alleged murder of Christian babies by Jews, Jan. 12, 2011

9. "We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada. And I think now, isn't that ironic?" --Sarah Palin, admitting that her family used to get treatment in Canada's single-payer health care system, despite having demonized such government-run programs as socialized medicine that will lead to death-panel-like rationing, March 6, 2010

10. "Ohh, good, thank you, yes." --Sarah Palin, after a notorious Canadian prank caller, posing as French President Nicolas Sarkozy, complimented her on the documentary about her life, Hustler's "Nailin Paylin," Nov. 1, 2008 (Read more about the prank call, watch the video and see the transcript)
