In the 1970s, Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger's "realpolitik" drove a wedge between the Soviet Union and communist China, which culminated with Nixon's visit with Mao Zedong and the United States' epic betrayal of our staunch Cold War ally, the nationalist China's government of Chiang Kai-shek in Taiwan (Taiwan was not only kicked off the UN security council but the UN altogether due to "one-China" policy. Meanwhile, both Koreas were admitted in the early '90s after the fall of the Soviet Union.)

Since Putin came to power, Russia has moved away from atheist communism by re-emphasizing traditional Russian nationalism dating back to the Tsarist Romanov time and the role of the Orthodox Church. Trump's flirtation with Putin contrast strongly to his hostility toward communist China and appears to indicate he will ally with Russia against China, just like Nixon/Kissinger allied with China against the Soviets. This, combined with the increase Islamization and Ottomization of Turkey under strongman Recep Erdogan (Erdogan and Putin are engaging in a proxy war in Syria) and Russia's longstanding war against jihadist in Chechenya, presents a unique opportunity for the United States (the last bastion of Western Civilization) to ally with Russia and launch 10th and last Crusade and recapture Constantinople (2nd most important city after Rome) and lost Greco-Roman territories and pushed Arabs back to Mecca, and declare the United States (one nation under God) as the THIRD ROME.

Trump will cooperate with Putin, who wants to rebuild the former Soviet Union. That includes regaining countries like Ukrain, Georgia and the Baltic States and make them part of Russia again. Trump already said that he may recognize Crimea as part of Russia and he may not send NATO troops to defend the Baltic States if Russia invades them.
