Question:
How Cool is it that during a LA gun buyback two ROCKET LAUNCHERS were turned in?
2012-12-28 11:20:32 UTC
Yesterday's LAPD gun buyback was so successful that two-hour waits and gift-card shortages were reported.

The department says it picked up 75 assault weapons as part of its no-questions-asked effort that saw $100 dollar cards handed out for handguns and long guns and $200 for the kind of rifle used in the Newtown tragedy. The LAPD says 901 handguns, 698 rifles, 363 shotguns will also be destroyed.

Good stats. But this is the one that gut us saying WTF:

Cops picked up two -- count 'em two -- rocket launchers (!) (and not one, as other outlets are reporting), an LAPD official with close knowledge of the program told us. Holy hell why do people on our streets have military grade rocket launchers?

I bought several RPG Launchers this Christmas through the NRA. It's called the NRA-RPG-Christmas Club and with just 12 easy payments anyone can become the proud owner of an RPG launcher, purely for self-defense purposes of course.

Personally, I don't think you can ever be too safe. I have RPG Launchers in the kitchen, dining room, living room and both bedrooms. I never feel completely comfortable in the shower or on the can without an RPG at my side, so a waterproof RPG is already on next year's Christmas list unless my Secret Santa beats me to the punch. in that case it's another bushel of grenades, which comes in an attractive gift box that doubles as a doorstop.

Bombs away, and Happy New Year.

Slaying the English language incredibly does not assist you to. Any more suitable weapon grew to become in at a "gun purchase back" is demonstrably a series piece performed by making use of those keeping the purchase back. 2 years back an entire vehicle Thompson 1921 45acp became grew to become in for a $50 debit card. image'd and held up as an occasion of the risky weapons nevertheless available. Then quietly slipped back into the officer's trunk after the image op became over. An AR15 effectively stops the ideas persons such as you have. Of ganging up and forcibly taking the existence and belongings of others. there is little to tell apart between illiberal bigotry like yours and an SA Brown shirt. different than the inability of braveness and outfits. Which an AR15 on your face places a end to. we heavily isn't ruled by making use of illiterate thugs such as you.

There may have been a time when you could buy dummy rocket launchers that were used for training purposes. For example, years ago, a friend of mine owned a dummy bomb that had 'ANTHRAX' printed on the side. He had it on his front porch for a long time. Imagine what would happen if someone turned that in to the LAPD!

And so a year from now, let's look at the violent crime rate in LA and see if is reduced any. I really doubt it. The money would have been better spent on real police work and putting criminals behind bars instead of buying what was mostly old junk guns.

now they are reporting it...except they cant report it properly.. Those where AT-4 rocket launchers... a one-and-done weapon that cant be reloaded. Makes for a great man cave item or can even be cut down and built into a lamp base. again...CAN NOT BE RE-USED and are LEGAL TO BE OWNED BY ANYONE once they have been shot.
