USA Canada and Israel are definitely secular democracies, only with some pressure groups wanting these coutries to be more religious. None of these groups are over 50% of the vote, so they remain secular.

All of Western Europe is more secular than these countries, and are also genuine democracies.

UK is much more secular than USA.

I think Japan is the most secular democracy.

Canada, Israel and the UK have parliamentary systems, which tend to work better, and have less grid lock then the Presidential system.

The US is far from being a democracy, and there really is no indication of it being one, or working as one, considering our Senate approval rating less than 10%, and a re-election rate of more than 90%.

The only real direct democracy in the World is Switzerland. Which by a majority vote of the people can a law be overturned. In the US this is not possible at all

Israel is not a secular democracy. Britain is sort of, although technically it is a parliamentary monarchy rather than a democracy. All the countries of the West are secular. Pretty much the only theocracies are Muslim countries.

Israel? A secular democracy? LOL. The Knesset has religious parties who direct the P.M. What do you think the massacre of Palestinians was all about? It made the ultra-orthodox far-right rabbis ecstatic so Netanyahu can keep his job.
