I'm a fiscal conservative and social liberal/libertarian. When at the polls, I find social freedom more compelling and vote against the social conservative, 100% of the time. When was the last time you voted for a candidate, not against the other guy.

This past election, I did a little bit of both.

I was satisfied with the results on both fronts.

And, in many respects I feel I share your values.

Yet, I cannot in good conscience bring myself to vote for any candidate from the current GOP.

Their actions have bee contrary to their rhetoric for over 20 years.

I have the same views as you, fiscally conservative and socially liberal. But I find the health of our finances more important because I think it is merely a matter of a few elections before Republicans forsake their social conservative base and become a truly small government party.

I wrote in Ron Paul because both Obama and Romney did not appeal to me and they would/will undoubtedly continue their partisan politics. I knew it was a "lost" vote, but I voted with head and heart rather than having to choose.

Most of the time, I'm just voting against the greater of the two evils.
