Do you know how big a nuclear bomb is?

The US W73 for instance is a cone 21.3 inch diameter at the base and 71.3 inch tall, with a yield of 350 kt (about 20 times the bomb dropped on Japan in 1945). At less than 800 pounds, it could easily be concealed in the trunk of a car.

Now, suppose that Kim says he denuclearized North Korea, how are you going to verify that? Search every places where an object the size of a human (but admittedly 4 times heavier) could be hidden?

If Kim says he denuclearized his country, I would treat it like I treat everything Trump says: a big stinking lie.

Trump said the first meeting accomplished that. Did something go wrong?

report written by a United Nations panel of experts has determined that North Korea is evading international sanctions with “seeming impunity,” but a bitter behind-the-scenes battle between Russia and the United States has prevented the report from being made public.

Crippling international sanctions on North Korea will not be eased until "complete denuclearization" takes place, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Thursday, dismissing claims from Pyongyang that the U.S. had offered to drop some sanctions during the process.

WASHINGTON —

The U.S. does not intend to ease economic sanctions against North Korea until it is confident the North has “substantially reduced” the threat it poses as a nuclear-armed country, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Thursday.

N. Korea hasn't tested a missile in over a year and the Koreas are getting together multiple times to discuss diplomatic relations with the US in the middle of it. This hasn't happened with any President for more than 50 years and Trump did it in his first 2 years.

No. Obviously you don't understand the vile partisan politics in the USofA.

No. North Korea often pretends to denuclearize to weasel concessions of the US and then restarts their nuclear program after they get what they want. It will take more than a day to tell if North Korea is serious this time.

I don’t think that’s the goal.
