Obama said the following today:

Obama said transportation projects would be stamped with a special emblem so people can see where their tax dollars are going.

Will he plaster his face all over these highway projects like Saddam Hussein did in Iraq?

To let people know how their taxes are being spent. Is this not important to Obama haters? No, you need not bow down. You may even be ticked that the construction period will disrupt your way for a time. But do appreciate it once its done and the project relieves congestion, or improves safety, or cuts travel time.

Oh - and by the way, it is your state that was planning to do this with your local taxes. It may cost you less with the Federal money.

Did it say anything about Obama's face? No.

I interpret this move as yet another way Obama plans on making government as transparent as possible. It gives him and Congress accountability. There's nothing wrong with that.

It could backfire spectacularly, you know. I can envision a press photo showing some disaster where one of these emblems is involved. It's a pretty bold move.

Yes, but only Republicans are supposed to bow down, because they would rather build road and infrastructure projects in Iraq, (they never complained about funding THOSE), than in America, where they complain and fight and call it "socialism".

Now if only BUSH and previous governments had done that.

Instead it went right into pockets of the rich and filthy who laughed all the way to the bank.

All contractors make "donations" to the party.

Michigan burned through a three year road budget and now wants to raise taxes because they spent all the money.

In the old days, before Chicagoland Gangsta Leadership, it was called kickbacks.

Oh geez - now he's trying to compare himself to Ike!

I know where my tax dollars go - and it has the same effect as flushing them into my septic tank.

Will he put up his "O" symbol or a swastika?

What's amazing is that his followers see no problem with a politician idolizing himself.
