Why Do Conservatives Consider Liberals To Hate America?

I am Australian and I am liberal (liberal in the American sense not Australian) and I don't hate America just like other liberals.

American Conservatives are hated by pretty much the rest of the world and more than half of the U.S. There is no place that American Conservatism exists except for parts of middle America. They're viewed as the fat, ignorant, red armed simple folk in flyover country who listen to talk radio in order to hear about stuff that they know nothing about, but hear buzz words which make then into angry idiots. They live to be angry about stuff. When was the last time anyone listened to Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, or Sean Hannity, and felt good about the U.S. afterwards. Never. Glenn, Rush and Sean know their audience, and feed them as such.



They love words like "liberty" and "freedom". Words they know nothing about, but their masters throw them a peanut every so often and they eat it up. They believe they are the "real" Americans. "Real" being the moronic masses who think that Obama is a terrorist muslim born outside of the U.S.



Don't pay any attention to the Conservatives. They're the champions of Joe McCarthy, Pat Robertson, and G.W. Bush. A.K.A. Morons of the highest regard. They're the kind of people who believe that if you're poor in the U.S., it was your own damn fault.



Heartless, brainless, and soulless. They're a stain on the U.S. that we're doing the best to get rid of. No one likes a moron.

I believe it started with the Vietnam War. The ppl that spoke out against it were not Americans. We should just go along with a war, that in essence was going into a place that we wanted under pretense that the citizens of that country wanted our help.



The reason we lost that war was because of the traitors (charlie's= s. vietnamese who were helping n. vietnamese) that have come to America and we have paid millions of millions of dollars to those ppl. I have heard them dis-respect our country then talk about us. Even to this day they black market our money back to Vietnam.



That is where it started. When we protest a War that we are in because of power & greed, that put our children's lives at stake, we are considered Hating America.

Because we care about all the poor children that they didn't want to be aborted. We see nothing wrong withthe government stepping in to help these poor kids, since their parents surely don't do it. They would let them sink or swim, or let churches be the only source or charity where the kids can get some conditional love. They only care about the suburban "good-ol' boys" network. We embrace the diversity in our USA, but they think it threatens their power.

We can see when our country makes a mistake (Iraq, GWB) but they would support anything a Republican president could do, whether it's starting a war with Canada or allowing insurance companies to consider injuries from domestic violence to be a "pre-existing condition" that's not covered. They may put more American flags on their bumpers and lapels, but that's just lip-service. We realize that the USA is part of planet earth. They think we live in the world alone, and since most of the rest of the world is "going to hell anyway" they don't care what effects we have on the planet.

I do realize that there are some really radical left wingers who really do think the USA can do nothing right, but the cons generalize and exaggerate and say that all democrats

are marxists, which is a logical fallacy. Compared to Europe and Australia, our Democrats are right of center, but when our govt steps in to prop up a large company like GM, they start screaming socialism. Of course, they didn't say this when Bush bailed out the airlines after 9/11.

I think because we sit back and look into america from the outside... many things are of interest to us...

I find the health care issue extremely interesting... the fear, the paranoia, the misinformation... and the times that we and other nations with Socialised health care are thrown up as examples of HOW IT DOESN'T WORK.. so BUD, that's one reason why we take an interest because it is important that YOUR people are informed of the truth and not the B/S.



I think even many of the aussie Liberals ( who are more like your republicans, they are our conservative party) would argue the benefits of a nationalised health care system.

Because all the left do is blame and attack America . They find fault with almost everything and anything that America does and stands for while they praise the rest of the world. They act like the rest of the world is some kind of damn utopia where everyone lives together in harmony and everyone is tolerant and there's no racism and woman have rights and gays are all excepted "all except for the United States". Which is lying B.S propaganda. The Europeans are so full of themselves in pretending that they live in such a tolerant non racist society. This might be the ideal which they want to reflect and fools themselves with but the ideal usually doesn't reflect the reality. I know for a fact that racism and insidious racism is a big problem in France.

For many years the Republicans have considered themselves more patriotic than Democrats. When a Republican is in the White House, Republicans consider dissent as subversive and even treasonous, but when a Democrat is in the White House the Republicans suddenly realize that dissent is patriotic 8^)



Republicans have really coarsened and lowered the level of political discourse in the US. Since they usually have their own party in the White House, they have come to think of the presidency as their property. So when a Democrat wins the presidency they feel they've been robbed, and they don't believe he is legitimate. They refuse to cooperate with a Democratic president because that would only hand him a victory and validate his presidency. So they reflexively disagree with anything he says or does or wants. Everything he does, they find some reason to be outraged about it. And they take any chance to bash him.



For years now 'liberal' was a bad word, it was the word Republicans used to dismiss anyone they disagreed with or any idea they didn't like. Now the word is completely worn out, so now they use words like 'socialist', 'communist', 'marxist' and even 'fascist'. And these words are interchangeable to them; they can't tell the difference anyway.

In general, Liberals are constantly attempting to change the fundamental way of American life. They seem to have a need to change America into Europe West.
