I used to think boxing was the most corrupt sport in the U.S. but as of lately I believe it may be college football (with all the kickbacks to politicians, illegal booster activities, criminal athletes, and coaching recruiting violations)

Sadly, cheating in sports has become the norm, like you said. Money plays a big factor in corruption, you're right. But players also want to have the bragging rights of being the best player of all time, and they think that the only way to achieve this status is by taking steroids. Part of the reason that players didn't cheat 5o years ago was because the technology wasn't there. Advancements in steroid technology are always ahead of advancements in testing. But you're right. Players have an insane lust for more money, and it is ruining sports. I am sickened as much as you are, trust me.

Boxing, as you only ever get to fight if you're willing to kick most of your money to a few people.

US college football in contrast is remarkably clean compared to what it used to be. Take those "illegal booster activities" these days that means some kid swapped a jersey for a free tattoo, it used to mean he got a car. Or those "criminal athletes", not so long ago they simply were never arrested, these days at least the cops will charge them.

Quite frankly, when you look at the immoralities of Lebron James during high school, you can't find a college athlete even close to him. That kid's parents were cashing five figured checks in high school.

College sports are more corrupt, boxing is the most crooked. Meaning, the shenanigans in boxing directly affect the outcome of the match.

Any sport that the bookies are taking action on.

Why would anyone risk their money on something other people could cheat them out of? It doesn't make sense that there are people willing to risk all their money on events that could easily be rigged. The only way it would make sense to risk all your money on an event that could be rigged is if you are in on it. That's why there are so many bookies out their eager to accept your bets. They obviously know how the game is most likely going to end.

If bookies didn't have a pretty good idea how the sporting events were going to end, they wouldn't risk so much money on them. Bookies are taking in billions of dollars in bets on events that could easily be rigged.

It's like an old saying they have in poker. If you sit down to a poker table and you don't know who the sucker is, then you're the sucker.

What's more unethical, a mobster bribing a fighter to take a dive or an assistant coach banging little boys in the shower and nobody says a word about it? Hmmm...
