Centrists, Independents, Libertarians, Green Partyers, Constitution Partyers, etc. Do you think they are delusional to think they can win an election? Do you believe that they should have a right to their own government? Are their ideas terrible? Are their ideas good but too soon to implement for modern society? Etc.

Independents are now the largest voting base in this country. So far they have tended to divide their votes between the two main parties. If the right Independent candidate comes along Democrats and Republicans are both screwed.

We cant even get good governing from the 2 we have due to the constant division in the so called United States of America. We are a laughing stock to the world.

I consider myself a Libertarian-leaning Independent. Independents are NOT a 'third party'. We vote the Person, NOT the party. I don't think they delusional to think they will win an election. The Libertarian Party is smart enough to know they have to start locally, then statewide and Then Federal. I know their ideas, and many are very sound and many Moderate Republicans should take a serious look at them. As I don't know much about Centrists (which is NOT a party, btw, but a way of looking at government - Trump is a Centrist) or the Green Party or the Constitution Party, so I can make no real judgement. The Green Party is what the Democrats USED to be, just as the Libertarian Party is what the Republican Party USED to be.

They are idiots. Everyone knows that in America there will always be only two parties

If the media would cover them they would do much better. However, does the US need a runoff election every cycle because no single candidate won a simple majorty?

Somehow I feel that would have a negative impact on voting.

So Nader saved America from Al the Gore....But Ross Perot gifted us with the impeached perjurer...So a wash. America does not LACK for loons with 'ideas,' it lacks enough people to understand that government powers need to be limited to powers granted by a supermajority.

They don't need to win an election, they just need enough seats to hold the balance of power. Hold that balance of power and some of your agenda will be negotiated on.
