Here look at this post made on another forum and then take a look at the website from wikepedia:

Is there any reason that we should ignore China's religious oppression and wickedness? Also, not only do I think we are ignoring it, but by purchasing goods from China we are also supporting it because as long as China's Communist Party does well, there is nothing to stop them from torturing innocent nonviolent people!

Quite simply because if we took on China's government, we'd be completely screwing ourselves over. You could call it heartless pragmatism or you could call it a principle of noninterference (do we as a nation have a right to decide what other national government may or may not do just because we consider it wrong?) but taking on China would be the biggest mistake of our national life.

Aside from being the largest lender to the U.S. (they technically own something like 1/5 of us), they also have by far the largest military in terms of manpower, and, unfortunately, the Communist Party is currently the only authority capable of maintaining peace and order in China. Well, more peace and order than there would be if it reverted to local warlords with private armies extorting people as was the situation before the Communist Party took over.

Unfortunately this is a situation where criticism of China's practices might actually be counterproductive. In general, the reason communist regimes are so oppressive is that they KNOW they're unpopular and illegitimate, so they brutally repress any criticism of them to keep people from catching on. The more secure the party becomes, the more dissent it will allow. What the CCP has right now is something of a massive inferiority complex. For the Chinese it's all about saving face, so they're out to prove themselves.

The CIA/NSA has done worse things in the past. Overthrowing regimes, installing dictators, funding taliban militants, profiteering from the drug war, and waging a spy network on the people is just the tip of the iceberg.

China is the cheapest producer of goods and all American's care about is cheap goods. With no labor laws, they have 5 year olds making our flip flops for a nickel each (obvious exageration). Add to that the fastest-growing army on earth, 2 billion people, and the fact that we owe them a boat-load of money - do not have two feet to stand on with China.

China is in total control of their population and country, both very large. There is no way our yuppie population can change anything they want to do because our forces are too weak to stop them.

Simple, really...Child and slave labor is legal there and is not legal here any longer. Thus, junk can be made cheap and Corporations/investors can profit. Greed!

YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED WHAT GOODS FROM CHINA YOU PROBABLY PURCHASE.IF ALL OF AMERICA STOPPED BUYING CHINESE GOODS,OUR ECONOMY WOULD BE FAR WORSE OFF THAN IT IS NOW.THE CHINESE ECONOMIC ENGINE HAS EMBEDDED ITSELF INTO OUR AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE.THE REASON FOR THE JOB LOSSES,LESS PAY AND CHEAP CHINESE LABOR HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED BY GREEDY CEO'S FOR DECADES AND ITS WAY TOO LATE TO BOYCOTT THE CHINESE FOR THIER RELIGIOUS OPRESSION LET ALONE GOODS THAT SO MANY AMERICANS NOW DEPEND ON.
