Question:
Doesn't Mitt Romney seem more qualified to lead us out of this economic malaise than obama?

Whether you voted for obama or not, isn't it just a simple fact that his economic policies haven't and aren't working? Isn't Mitt a better choice for 2012? If you aren't familiar with Mitt's accomplishments please read the following NY Times article. If you aren't up to speed on just how bad the economy is really doing read the Yahoo news link.

He doesn't just SEEM more qualified he IS more qualified (and that by more than simply a little bit).

There is no question however....Romney has the public confidence factor down pat as to the economy (at least in comparison). 2012 is likely to be framed as surety, competence, cautiousness vs incompetence, waste, and foolishness.

Assuming the election is nailed to the economy.....Romney will win handily over Obama.

Expect Obama however to do everything and anything to shift the discussion to anything else but.....(if he does not do so the election is already over).

All of that is of course assuming Romney got the nomination (which does appear likely....but is not yet a sure thing)....there are other good choices (Paul or Perry can also beat Obama.....and would be excellent choices) as well as some bad ones.

You are right. Romney seems more qualified but his policies would make matters worse. The stimulus should have bigger and more directed to the States. Before Republicans be too proud. "To put it mildly, GOP whining is misguided — whether they want to admit it or not, the economy is advancing exactly as they want it to. The private sector is being left to its own devices[because the stimulus is over] ; the public sector is shedding jobs quickly; and the only permitted topic of conversation is about debt-reduction.

This is the script the GOP wrote. When it’s followed to the letter, Republican complaints are absurd."

While Mitt Romney has excellent business background , it seems that he is too Liberal.

From years ago, that has been my impression. He would make a good Vice President if his ego could bear being second banana to a Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachman or Tim Pawlenty.

Not really. He wants to cripple our economy based on the Global warming hoax, and cap and trade, and Romneycare.

I wish more Republicans would look at his record and stop supporting him in the primaries.

I would prefer Romney over Obama, but I'd prefer one of the other Republican nominees over Romney.

You mean the man whose family made its money buying up companies, merging them with other companies and laying off half the employees?

Yeah, that's who I want to control the economy. Uh huh. He should really help the jobs picture!

Every company he's run, he's fired most of the employees, sold off all of his stock, and left the company weeks before it went bankrupt.

Well, I like that Mitt came up with Obamacare.

Is he for putting the kibosh on off shoring Americas manufacturing capacity via fair trade / tariffs.. incentives to repatriate factories etc... ?

No.. well I don't see his policies working then.

Romney has a real world experience in finance. Or you can stick with a community organizer who does not have any business experience.

Clearly, anyone would be better. But RTomney is just a liberal with an R after his name.

Mickey Mouse can do better than Obama. The unemployment rate is double what it was during the Bush years.

A tree squirrel is more qualified than Obama.
