Well, it's hard to say about the fiscal liberal. I think ALL presidents have spent a lot but it takes a lot to run a country. Reagan raised the debt ceiling over 11 times but that had a lot to do with the space program.

Prick Perry likes to brag that he 'balanced the budget' but he did so by gutting the education funding so he could STILL offer tax incentives to corporations.

These unrealistic social cons who like to contradict themselves daily while promoting their totalitarian desires, seem to have surfaced into 'the real world' in the last few years, now that the average person is aware that to be humane, it costs money.

'Balancing the budget' isn't as easy as Prick Perry wants everyone to believe.

@ power pawsum, take a human gestational class, a fetus is the POTENTIAL for life, not a baby

and, just b/c a certain person doesn't fit YOUR lifestyle does not mean it is a 'fringe' or that it can be overlooked

@ liam, many of the founding fathers were Freemasons and some kind of agnostic,

and TJ had plenty to say AGAINST Christianity, specifically...

Norway & other northern European countries are run by secular governments and are doing very well while other, mostly Xian countries (like Haiti) are not.

The GOP hasn't been fiscally conservative since the 20's.

It started with Reagan in the 80's. Reagan took and almost balanced budget and turned it into a huge budget deficit. He also payed a lot of lip service to the religious right. Ever since then they've been a reliable voting block for the GOP, no matter what the GOP does. For example, even after the first 4 years, the religious right still turned out in huge numbers to gleefully vote for Bush for another 4 years, thinking he was a great president.

This crowd is the reason my family voted for President Obama in the last election, and intends to again in the next.

Someday the GOP will come to its senses, and we'll go back. Until then, the only really conservative alternatives are Democrats. Both Obama and Clinton were right centrist choices.

First, go look up neo-con

Never mind, I'll do it for you

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neocon

Now all you gotta do is read it, because Neocon does NOT mean whatever you think it does.

A neocon is a Military hawk who is a social liberal. In other words, Obama is a Neocon.

I used to be a Republican until the Conservative radicals took over during the Reagan administration.

I've been a Democrat ever since.

Do you wonder what happened to the American Nazi party, they are now card carrying members of the GOP which endorse all of the Nationalist Socialist philosophies except Racism. The GOP doesn't care what color minimum wage workers are as long as they are willing to work for minimum wage and no benefits.
