Question:
What will Obama do when job loss happens after this stimulus (i.e.spending) bill?

an op-ed piece in The Washington Post, the president argued that each day without his stimulus package, Americans lose more jobs, savings and homes. His message came as congressional leaders struggle to control the huge stimulus bill that's been growing larger by the day in the Senate. The addition of a new tax break for home-buyers Wednesday evening sent the price tag well past $900 billion.

I think he needs to choose he words more wisely, giving people the notion that as soon as this porkulus bill passes, all will be well is irresponsible.

Personally I am a little tired of him over promising.

He'll continue to blame Bush for it as long as he can. After a couple of years and its no better, people will vote anybody else in to replace any democrats up for elections.

Someone wise said that people elect democrats to remind themselves why they should elect republicans.

biased lots? i'm getting the GOP Leaders newletter, i think of you shrink and pasted it right here. it truly is a foul recession, further approximately by utilising the two dems (bill Clinton) and repubs (lax oversight, no regulation, political appointees to posts - W) and unregulated greed. The Republican's answer to that end some distance is to extra shrink taxes on the wealthy - the standard trickle down economics that leads to a golden bathe of the incorrect type on the middle classification. i've got voted GOP/DEM earlier - I wish the GOP could get their collective heads out of the mandatory orifice of the some distance suitable and come again to authentic economic duty, states rights, small government. enable's no longer forget - W doubled the nationwide debt from 2.5 to 5 trillion funds. This stimulus kit we are finding at now, and the bailouts stain the hands of the two events. in the event that they shop at it like this, there is going to be gridlock like we've in CA. rigidity all of them to do greater effective, and stop slinging slogans

I don't think the bill will pass, TG. If it did, of course Obama would take credit for "fixing" the economy, even though the bill would put us more in debt with one stroke of the pen than George Bush did in his entire 8 years.

I am already tired of him, period. He is trying to subvert the Constitution. New Hampshire has already passed a resolution to secede from the US if Obama does much more of what he is trying to do, and 8 other states are drafting similar legislation. How much more confirmation does anyone need that Obama is not doing the right things, and is doing the wrong ones?

After it passes we will hear reports such as; (and within a matter od days) "The stimulus bill went a long way toward fixing our economy, but because of more recent downturns we need another billion, or three, or five, to assure the slowing of a worsening economy caused by Bush."

If we stop the declining real estate values, we may improve consumer confidence.

it is a little more complicated than such a short explanation, but that is the goal and a bigger explanation probably would be over your head, since you are referring to it as "porkulus" bill....obviously drivel you got from Rush.

He's attempting to fix a problem that was caused way before he became President. He’s only been in office 1 month. We can only pray that he can fix what Bush, his party and administration destroyed. Were you (crying) this much when last president was CREATING all the problems...You are pathetic!

He is still trying to get Republicans to join so they can share the blame!

There is no one thinking that there will be any sort of overnight fix of any sort. All you're doing is showing your dislike of him and his supporters.
