The media is taking sides more and more. People get angry and rude when it comes to politics. The major networks are taking sides and letting there biases lead them. Some bloggers and talk radio hosts are ruthlessly partisan and make personal unfounded attacks on the other side. What's the final result of this 10 years from now, 20 years, 50 years from now? Cival War II?

I don't think it will go that far that quickly...but it does worry me. I embrace what Glenn Beck often says--that we need to all have our opinions and be passionate about them but still respect the other side. I for one am very far on the right wing, a total conservative, and I will always be. But I still hope that we can all have our different ideas but still exist together like normal people...

Open primaries are mostly at fault with this election. We have McCain vs. Obama which is like the abomination election of the new century. Sorry for the pun but I could not help it. We need something to laugh at between now and November, because the campaigns are just going to get uglier from here on out.

McCain should have never gotten the nod, nor should Obama for that matter. There are a lot of nervous democrats out there right at the moment. Look at the last 20 or so primaries where Hillary pulled in most of the popular vote. McCain on the other hand, has his hands full with the republican base. Why would any self-respecting conservative vote for this guy?

Republican should vote for republicans in primaries, like the democrats should vote for democrats or else this happens.

The horror; The horror.

People have been getting angry and rude over politics since it was invented, nothing new about that.

As for the media, the media has always been bias. In the 1900s for example, newspapers were what media outlets of today are: Powerful and corrupt.

The biggest difference in the world today from the past, is the easy access to information people have due to the Internet.

Every generation thinks the sky is always falling. The US is fine and the US will continue to be fine long after you have left this world.

This is temporary. Most of the people in this country have been living high on the hog for a long time. 8 out of 10 in the population doesn't produce anything. (I mean you - you weasely little computer people). We are entering a time that will "set the men from the boys" and "cull the herd". We will be a Nation again - just as soon as we get you benefactors of blood to shed a little of your own.

The US exists by the Grace of God and to Glorify God. That is about to come to test. Your flight or flee response will come under real question instead of the video game scenario that you pud knockers play with your britches off acting like you are men.

Yes- we are moving further apart. But we were in the 30's as well.

You'll see.

I think we will become more fragmented through issues of politics and race. The growing divide between liberals and conservatives, animosity between whites, blacks, and Hispanics, will fracture the country at the current pace. In 20-30 years I would not be surprised to see the current United States split into 3-5 smaller entities. Maybe it will be for the best.

i think of each and every of the quite some Brewers followers have been on trip...I easily have some Brewer followers as contacts that have been on hiatus. yet all communities did, so barring for lacking followers it is as close as you may get great interest. and now and back I do sense like the only ordinary Brewers fan on Y/A. BQ: Ryan Braun #a million fave yet additionally favorites (Yovani Gallardo, Prince, Corey Hart, Casey McGeHee...nicely very almost all different than the different 4 SP's and the Bullpen)

This country is hopelessly divided because of forced integration on a massive scale. We didn't allow enough time for assimilation. This is a reality theat cannot be reversed. China will not have this problem. We allowed the greatest country in th history of the world to be destroyed from within and in turn made it possible for a Communist country to flourish. This is a tragedy for the ages.

It couldn't last forever could it. No worries though. We need to get a lot less civilized for awhile and let the true nature of man take over. All of this repulsive egalitarianism needs to die a hard death.....just like a lot of other ideas.

It is all about Bush winning the way he did in 2000 unless we can make the elections more fair like getting rid of electoral college, corporate legislators and make it Illegal for the media to lie or bend or twist the truth and tell facts only then there is nothing we can do.

Why should polar opposites ever agree? Isn't that what a true democracy is all about? When we all start to agree, that is the time to start to really worry about the state of this nation.

Eventually a country that no longer cares and is tired of fighting among themselves. We then will go the way of the Roman Emipire.
