Will they try to be more fair and balanced or will they stick with the liberal view on news?

MSNBC Is In Big Trouble Without Bush To Bash

You won't hear executives at MSNBC chanting "yes we can." The network that they cobbled together as a TV version of the left-wing screed Air America is in the ratings dumper. Advertising dollars that have never been easy are getting thinner.

Since the inauguration of Barack Obama, Bill O'Reilly and the Fox News Channel have owned prime time. One night last week, for example, O'Reilly scored 3.5 million views compared to Olbermann's 1.4 million. Keith Olbermann may need to go back to sports. MSNBC is in big trouble without Bush to bash. Olbermann, Rachel Maddow and even Chris Matthews have filled their shows with nothing but anti-Bush hysteria for the last year. Now that their punching bag-in-chief has left Washington, they are lost.

They'll bash Rush Limbaugh. Those types always need a target and they've already started in on Rush.

Liberal media is only useful leading up to an inauguration. After that, it should just shut down because most listened will switch to more lively, conservative talk radio.

Even the liberals learn more from Hannity, Limbaugh, and O'Reilly, than they do from Anderson Cooper, Larry King dead, or Campbell Brown. It's no wonder the EIB network pays Limbaugh $50 Million a year to talk politics, he's credible. Besides, the conservatives have at least four more years of Obama fodder and fresh material, almost on a daily basis. Whereas, Olbermann, Maddow, and Matthews are dead in the water, once they run out of Palin news to report.

They will do what Fox did during the Bush years, cheerlead. The same people who hate Bush love Obama, and the ratings will not dip terribly. The thing about partisan news is that there is higher consumption when there is an issue that that side is really excited about. GOPers are terrified by the stimulus bill. When Obama starts pushing NHC MSNBC will fly back up.

They've been having fun fact checking FOX which is like shooting fish in a barrel. And the total viewers is not what counts it's who's watching. MSNBC is doing fine with their target demographic and they have plenty of lame duck GOPs to pick on. One GOP made over 10 errors talking about Abraham Lincoln in less than 30 seconds and another blamed Roosevelt for the Great Depression. FOX is still the place to watch if you are an over 55 yo male. I'm sure Viagra and Enzyte sells more air time on FOX than MSNBC. Fair and balanced like FOX? At least they make no false claim about being objective. With GOPUSA as your source, you really expect any credibility?

Haven't you heard? Almost ALL news is biased. You DO know that Fox News is biased too, right?

MSNBC will just switch to whatever FOX news was doing for the last eight years, and FOX will switch to what MSNBC was doing for the last eight years.

It's that simple.

Hopefully go out of business.

Matthews and Olbermann need to take a long walk off a short pier.

I don't think they care about ratings. They've been last for so long I think they like it. I have really liberal friends that admit they can't stand Keith Olbermann or Chris Matthews. Pathetic when your target audience can't even stand the sight of you!

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

I guess you don't realize what total LIARS the GOP have become.

You need to start getting your information from reliable sources -- and that does NOT include Fox news, or GOP propaganda.

When you believe everything liars tell you to think, you're not going to get the truth about anything.

They don't rely on bogus sources like you did for this post. MSNBC's ratings are just fine...thanks for asking. Bill O seems a bit worried though.

It's OK, they still have the Congressional Republicans who are still every bit as underhanded and manipulative, plus we have all the as of yet unpunished crimes of the last 8 years to bring back into court.

It wasn't hysteria. There were a lot of reasons to bash Bush, beginning with the whopping deficit of 10.2 trillion he left us.
