Why did Katie Couric edit Sarah Palin's answer down to, "You know, you can see Russia from Alaska", from......?

That really is a great speech. Well spoken and concisely stating the international responsibilities of an Alaskan governor that might show that they possess the experience to assume the role of a national leader who faces international issues.



Too bad that there is no way in hell that Sarah Palin could possibly memorize one line of it or deliver a single portion of it in a coherent way. The speech writer must have been pretty disappointed to see their talent pissed away on a conniving babbling quitter with a 2nd grade grasp of the english language.



Take a reality check of your life. Stop blindly accepting and disseminating lies. Their accumulation does not build a mountain of evidence for you, instead it detracts from your argument. You conservatives have a winnable a case, too bad you can't present it in an intelligible manner. You all come across as a bunch of whiny back-biting cranky losers who don't care about truth or facts, just about dragging your opposition to hell with you. Change your game plan and you'd be on top in a heart-beat.



For instance calling a channel "Fox News" instead of the "Fox cranky-old-opinionated- white-men- spewing-bile network" doesn't make the other channels any less liberal. Realize that all tv is tabloid muck these days, stop taking anything labeled still as "news" seriously unless you know there are some journalistic standards that lie behind them. Present real facts, and verify your information as true before disseminating it. Build a little trust and credibility and you could walk into the whitehouse unopposed. I predict it ain't gonna happen...

Yes and why did she rudely pursue and demand an answer to just what mags and periodicals she has read,when maybe Sarah Palin did not desire to read a bunch of lies put in print. Even Reader's Digest was once fair and covered both sides, but are now beholding to the left and the hollywood phonies. There is no way that's a direct quote from Sarah Palin. It is far too coherent, and lacks her usual interjections of folksy colloquialisms. Her sentences simply aren't constructed as well as those are.



Additionally, she never said the exact words "You know, you can see Russia from Alaska."



In her interview with Charles Gibson, she said "You can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska".
