Do some White Anglo Saxon Males, (WASM), feel threatened at the moment?

Looks like their cozy little world is coming to an abrupt end... For the first time in nearly three hundred years power looks like being divested and diverted from their hands.

Is that why they HATE the 'Changes' that Barak talks about?
Worse, a woman might tell them what to do........ LOL

Only if you think of the world in terms of people having power according to ethnicity and those powers being pitted against one another. Otherwise, empowering so-called "minorities" empowers the entire population.

Maybe a few, but you can find a few loonies associated with any candidate. However, considering the number of white men who are supporting either Clinton or Obama, your stereotype doesn't quite fit.

I'm a WASM, as you call it, and I support Obama (as millions of WASMs have). If Obama wins the nomination and election, how is power going to be "divested and diverted from [my] hands?" How would that be true even if I supported a different candidate?

Win or lose, Obama's triumph is that he transcended racial divisions. Making this racial does him no favors.

Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are two pawns that play a game controlled by the "WASMs" you are talking about. The President of the United States is always a pawn for the WASMs and to deny means you are blind.

Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are two socialists that are members of the Bildeberg group, which was founded and is still run by the Rockefeller Family (WASMs). Obama and Hillary Clinton both attend the annual Bildeberg Group, which has a lot of influence over who the President of the United States will be as media figures are dominant attendees.

And nobody wants to listen to your love of Obama. Go somewhere else and tell someone who cares about how great Obama is.

The government is mostly white and all of the people in the government make a much higher salary than you ever will. Of that, I am sure.

I'm sure there's plenty of that going around. But really, those very same sorts of bigots have "hated" ANY Democrat because of civil rights. They blame white male Democrats for "siding" with "the other" against them. Minorities, "fem'nists", homosexuals. These have been the groups against whom those kinds of dudes have been railing for years.

The Democrat nominee could have been John Edwards and they'd still feel threatened by his win. They felt the same way about John Kerry. They felt the same way about Al Gore. They definitely felt the same way about Bill Clinton.

But sadder still is that these same types of guys will look at a President as ANY kind of "boss" at all. The President is a public servant who works for the people of the US. There will be no woman "telling them what to do" nor any black man "telling them what to do" or any old white guy "telling them what to do".

But you're right to phrase it that way for those kinds of voters, because that's EXACTLY how they see the President.

And that, I think, is the worst of all of their perceptions.

If I can I would like to add some perspective on the concept of Power. Any elected official is a horse that bets are placed on. Las Vegas bets on Politicians, elections and issues related to funding every day of the week. In their world the conversation is a list of numbers, hedging bets, time zones, opening and closing of markets, trends and outliers.

Yes Michael Jordan is rare air, and Tiger Woods will eventually plateau in Himalaya's Mountains with his fortunes. Never forget the Rupert Murdoch's, the Sam Waltons, Steve Jobs and the Bill Gates of the world. To be President is a seat of power that we may get to for the first time, however, it is an indicator not a marker. Deep within the bowels of government somewhere deep within the recess of the halls of power are un-named people who are a necessary ingredient to power.

The election process leads to institutional power. Within the framework as President you are on the clock, these people have seen them come and go. The office of President is not a threat. The economic lay of the land is a threat to holding on to power beyond the office of President.

Venezuela's Hugo Chavez has the vocabulary of a thug and the coordination of a clumsy big man trying to dribble a ball. But, he and Iranian President Ahmenajhaden have proposed to the oil ministers of OPEC to use the Euro as the standard currency for OPEC nations because the dollar will be weak in the forseeable future. The net effect is to pump less oil and make more money with a strong Euro, making America's affordabilty to oil cost prohibitive because the dollar is no longer the strongest currency. This is being discussed.

The iconic Ford family is fighting for it's automotive life in America, because they have squandered their lead due to poor product resulting in a crummy reputation on quality. Toyota whose slogan is "Moving Forward" has General Motors running on all cylinders in order too avoid getting eclipsed as the worlds top car manufacturer. Chrysler is not even in the game.

South Korea has a wireless city, France the size of Texas is Nuclear powered, Brazil is energy independent using sugar cane as the cellulite material to cheaply develop ethanol. They made the transition from oil back in the 70's when this country had an oil crisis during the Carter Administration. Finland, Newfoundland derive more solar and wind power as the days go by.

The United States is mired in a war that knowone can predict an end. General Electric, Virginia Electric Power and the overall manufacturing industry has to rely on China to grow the business for year on year growth, while families and small business digest a recession and this country borrows heavily from China to pay it's bills. That my friend is the real threat to the old establishment in the smoke filled room. President of the United States is a player, but not THEE player. The threat moving forward within the next few years are the sectors of the economy in manufacturing, banking, and the globalization of the workforce. The best a President can do is enhance global opportunity in local communities, demonstrate uncharacteristic Statesmanship and court competing countries to invest and request funding from the Congress.

I'm not terribly worried at this time. Hillary and Obama are still fighting tooth and nail for the nomination while McCain is already laying the foundation for his run against the Democrat, whoever that might be. In 2 months, this will really show. Right now, McCain has the luxury of defining himself and his policies as they compare the Democrats. Hillary and Obama are still trying to explain the differences in their socialist policies and who stands for bigger change.

I am sure that there are those that feel threatened. Personally I look forward to the day when there is not all of the hurt feelings, bad memories and sensitivity to differences.

The day when bad memories don't have us in a strangle hold I should say as bad memories will never die but will someday loose their power to cripple us.

Considering that the majority of voters in this country are White and our government is mostly white, Did it ever cross your mind that the power you speak of is still in the hands of those WASM's? Just like when blacks marched for their rights, do you honestly think that White People didn't play a role in your movement? If it weren't for a Bunch of White politicians making new laws to accomedate your people Your people would still be oppressed. That my friend is the God's honest truth... You all think you have the power, but when it comes right down to it, The White man is the one who allowed you to gain that power. : ) Have a wonderful day and enjoy your Black Heritage Month that was created for you by nothing else but a White Person.....

I am sure there are some that will....

but I haven't heard anything at all that indicates white males in any numbers

are in a twist about the Black/Female Candidates.

A lot of Blacks don't think Obama is "Black enough".

I would call that backdoor racism.

A Black president is not really going to make much a difference to average Black persons life anyway.

And...the President...whoever it is, doesn't tell people "what to do".

Gotta run it through Congress and Senate.

And...if they don't go along....

TOUGH TITTY:):)

Seriously, you should do some political research. There are plenty of black people and women in politics that are on the Republican side. There are even, get this, BLACK WOMEN! What is scary, is the politics and lack of agenda that is being brought to the table. The thought of a socialist and communist society is scary to us. The thought that our rights are being threatened is scary to us. It's the thought of having to not only continue paying for those who won't get off of their duffs, but to have to pay more for them. It's the thought that those illegals that crossed out borders and broke our laws may be told that its ok what they did. It's the thought that there would be no punishment for wrongdoing, but punishment for hard work and motivation that is scary.

Sigh, If you took the race card into consideration of your candiate, you have to be uneducated and lack do dilligence. Obamma could make a great president if he had some years under his belt. He certainly has the gift of gab. Sorry, I will not submit to this racial commit. Good luck

You seem to hate the white people. You have a grudge against them for something, I don't know what for. I'm a Hispanic female and I'm not an Obama supporter. Does that make me a racist? You are the one who can't see past race, not the WASM you're disparaging.
