How can we help conservatives understand America's liberal majority?

They are a tiny angry minority in America now, but for some reason they still seem to act like their war, their Leader, and their agenda is popular. How can we break through their mental fog and get them to face reality?

I am neither a Republican or a Democrat. But, I am a strong liberal, because I believe strongly in the Liberal values! However, I don't believe this is the time for us to bicker about which is better and which is worse. This is the time to stand together, to keep the Globalists from succeeding in their quest to create a New World Order, and take all our freedoms away. They can only win if we let them, because we greatly outnumber them, and they know this, which is why they use the media, and fear, and other techniques to try to dumb us down. If we don't want to lose all our freedoms, and live in a police state, we had better wake up now! because it is already happening!!! By the way....both the Republican and Democratic parties, on the highest levels of government are guilty of having a majority of their members involved with these Global Elitists!

First of all, conservatives try do do what is right and best, even if it is not popular. Moreover, cons don't care much about popularity at all. If they did, they would have never freed the slaves.



And finally, the REAL winners in life finish what they start. They have commitment. The loser do what they want, when they want to do it.



They don't want to mess with Iraq because it is not popular, and it is no longer fun.



Grow up, and take some responsibility, or get out of the way and let the righteous winners run the country.

I'm not so sure it's a liberal majority exactly... but it doesn't seem to be a conservative majority either...



in fact... it seems to be pretty split down the middle, about 45/45ish... making things all the more difficult...



there also seems to be a "foggy 10 percent" that wax and wane like the moon... conservative one day, liberal the next...



and those are the people that decide the elections, since everyone else pretty much votes party lines...



... they often vote on issues like they don't like "candidate x's" hair or "they heard candidate y" was a communist... yipe!

This is an impossible task . If you look closer at the people who support Bush, they are all law abiding ,church going ,abstinence pushing ,closeted homosexuals ,working in the government attempting to force their morality on the majority of people . They are happy with things the way they are . They got a teaching degree or became involved at some level with collecting a check and benefits from tax payers to provide services society needs . They took these jobs because no one in their right mind would want to spend 8 hours a day filling out paper work, requesting additional support and funding in order to complete the job while never making any progress . Most people have some self respect and would refuse such work .These people are incapable of earning a living and are willing to follow along pointing out all those people who have a life and might possibly walk outside the lines . I would like to pick 500 people at random on welfare and in six months have them all working who have lived on welfare for 5 or more years . I can have them off welfare permanently and self sufficient working to repay the money they have collected over the years . Every single one of them without fail would be off the welfare rolls for life . This is something a conservative could never accomplish . They have no ability to assess a situation and work to make it better . They can only force immediate change or imprison those that do not cooperate and work within their concept of a forty hour work week . You have to learn to use the strengths people have and work with them and show them how to make a living for themselves . Working for others is only going to provide temporary employment paying low wages and leading to them stealing from the employer or quiting . These people would rather sit on the porch and drink a forty and smoke a joint then work for 9 dollars an hour . The conservative approach is to jail them and when they are released jail them again and again . This cost 25,000 a year

A pretty hefty chunk of change . I can cut the welfare and prison budgets by 2/3 in less then a year .

First a disclaimer: I'm a liberal.

A simple answer -we need to vote in truly liberal politicians. Like the war or not, most Democrats voted for it. Voting in people like Russ Feingold will make clear what the liberal idea is. (conservatives right now don't even think there is one - that's how bad it is!). The liberal majority (if it exists - this will be the true test) will then vote accordingly because the choice will be clear. Right now, one can only barely tell the difference sometimes - although I think things are slowing coming around.

The reality is, Liberals are the minority. My family, for the most part, votes Dem. My pleas for them to understand that even tho they are decent folks, the Dems in DC are not. (With a few exceptions...I would have voted for Leiberman if he'd made the ticket..he's a good man). Boxer, Pelosi, Kennedy, Kerry, ..they are wacked. Kerry, for example, a Catholic, and a Lib. That's a contridiction walking. Catholics are supposed to be pro life by their religion, but Kerry is pro choice, is he not?

The reality is ya'll are so caught up with yourselves, that you think you rule the roost. Not all Dems are Libs, and you'll never get me to follow your idiotic way of thinking.

And by the way...it's not my war, Bush is the President of the USA (so unless you move your candy butt to another country, he's your leader too), and lastly...what is my agenda?

First you must distinguish between Leftists and Liberals. I think Conservatives understand the Leftists well enough.



If Conservatives only did what is 'popular', they would not be doing their jobs.



Regarding Iraq - it was the Democrats who committed us to removing Saddam by force. Clinton got Congressional approval to do it, bombed Iraq for days, failed miserably.



Conservatives understand the utter falseness of the Left who now pretend that it was Bush who made it national policy to remove Saddam. It was really their guy. Leftists depend on "Genrational Amnesia" - figuring that most folks will forget what happened in '98 so Leftists can get away with lying now.

Well, as soon as we have another attack on our country that threatens the lives of liberals, they will support Republicans once again.
