Just kick back for the next 2 years and live on the dole, then when you are even more desperate for a job, any reputable company is going to notice the "gap" in your employment history, and your application/resume will dropped in the garbage.....your screwed.

You are saying that you are incapable of constructive thought or action if somebody you consider superior does not first tell you what to do. 'Unemployment' is an undesirable condition only because those superior rich people you so worship have made you unemployed and are now punishing you for it. If I take you into custody and beat you with a club then bandage and care for your injuries, will conclude you cannot survive without my care? Yes, rich people and only rich people give you jobs, after disrupting normal human cooperative behavior and imposing conditions on you that require you to hold a job and punish you when you do not. Since you demonstrate such smug overconfidence in pointing out the deficiencies of the most vulnerable among us, I assume you are more than though enough to withstand any criticism such as your thought process is shallow, inane and pathetic, and I think it highly embarrassing you would so wilfully profess your inferiority. Yes, you are getting some very bad advice but even worse than that, it appears you are less than sufficiently prepared intellectually to either process it or form a logical conclusion.

The problem is, you went from one extreme to the other. That's like saying "The water's too hot" and changing it to ice cold and expecting it to feel comfortable (unless you like a cold shower). I do feel that the "advice" you recieved was partially incorrect. The rich aren't hiring as much as they can afford but they are hiring. However, mom and pop stores would probably offer you a job as long as you don't ask for too much, you know, enough to mirror your unemployment check and get you off unemployment for somebody who isn't on line all day.

And how many conservatives have you asked to find you a job? They will undoubtedly tell you it's your responsibility and not to expect any help from them. Rich people don't create jobs here. They create them in India or China.

Edit: GWS35, yeah, liberals like the Wall Street Journal are always talking about how well trickle down economics works. http://finance.yahoo.com/family-home/article/110258/us-economy-is-increasingly-tied-to-the-rich

Edit 2: That is not a result of free trade. It is a result of the stratification of American society due to easier access to money for those who already have a lot of it. Like the top 5% of the economy getting 62% of the tax cuts, while the lower 95% split the other 38%.

And if you're looking for an end to free trade, exactly what did your hero George II do about it? Besides expand it, of course. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/11/22/bush.apec.summit/index.html

Reagan wanted to let the job creaters keep more money so they could create more jobs to recover from the mess Carter left behind.

Now liberals just attck Reagan and "trickle down" while they want to bring in more illegal foreign invaders to take our jobs while they give money to the poor people who don't create jobs.

Then they blame Bush that unemployment appears stuck at 9% for the rest of Obama's four year term in office:

http://money.cnn.com/2010/07/23/news/economy/white_house_budget_review/index.htm

White House: Unemployment at 9% until 2012

"The White House said Friday it expects that unemployment will stay at or above 9% until 2012"

EDIT: mommanuke, that would be thanks to free trade. So WHAT IS OBAMA DOING to stop free trade?

...... crickets chirping.

Why don't you create your own business then? Or work for a non-corporation. You know "Ma and Pa" shops are hurting, try getting a job in one of those. Support small business, you know the business that makes up MOST of all business

conservatives CONSTANTLY talk on here about how they own a business and how THEY AREN'T RICH....

maybe you should try to get a job from a middle class business owner?

EDIT: I've also seen cons say that a great percentage of jobs come from this area... but I'm not sure about that...

Companies create jobs.

Most companies that hire are start ups.

If your resume is written like this, it would probably explain your inability to find a job.
