They squandered their monopoly of all 3 branches, with endless scandals.
They can kiss that sh*t godbye in November.

My health insurance renewal is in April, 33% increase this year. My state used to have limits on how much of an increase could happen but the ACA did away with those pesky state things. Last year there were huge increases and apparently, this year will be no different. Once again this issue is going to raise it's nasty head and the left, will still try to defend it. I'm thinking this is going to put a damper on the turn over which historically, goes to the party out of power.

No. Republicans have positive solid beliefs and platforms while Democrats have no real beliefs except to oppose Republicans.

The opposition party always gains big time in the midterms after one party wins the Presidency. If the Dems DO NOT follow that trend, they are history.

Democrats did have record highs in the Texas Primaries but so did Republicans in Texas. That's what the media doesn't tell you. About 1 million voted were cast in Democrat primaries while 1.5 million were cast in Republican primaries.
In other words, 60% of the votes cast were Republican votes while 40% were Democrat so Texas is still a solid Red state and most people don't vote in Primaries that aren't even Presidential Primaries any way.

Even if the left wins everything in the special elections, they wont hold majority in the senate. The best analysts suggest it most likely wont change much at all.

A little early to see what this portends for November, but Democrats doubling their turnout for a midterm primary compared to 2014 is an encouraging sign for Democrats. Raw numbers still favor Republicans, of course. I believe around 1 million Democrats voted compared to 1.4 million Republicans.

dem double turnout here is still less than republican turnout.

The Democrat losses of the first midterm of Bush in 2002 will become the Democrat bloodbath of 2018, in the first midterm of Trump. Democrat press hate has not won an election, since the days of Walter Cronkite ‘the most trusted Democrat in America.’
