if we do, why do we allow them to become 2nd rate citizens, in whats now becoming a 3rd world country. you all hate the nazis, and boast what our old people did when they were young. if you think so much about them, why are we prepared to let them rot, and live in fear.

WE may care about them - this and previous governments certainly don't! I think it's a disgrace the way they are treated, especially the ones who fought - or served - in the wars! And I hate reading/hearing stories of the elderly and the way they are treated when they're in care. If my mum had ever been abused like some of these old people, I'd have LEVELLED the fcuking place. And they'd have been hauling some not so innocent bodies out of the debris, let me assure you!

CHARBATCH: Go and take a running fcuk at yourself, ya tosser. You'll be old someday - maybe! Cos with an attitude like that, someone's bound to deck you.

'Cause everyone's busy working as the state expects them to. In my experience it's hard to find support to care for a family member and if you do care for someone you're supposed to live on a pittance when care homes are being payed £400 plus (aprox) to look after the elderly. We haven't even been given the correct info about Direct Payments when we asked SS. How long do you keep going when you can't find the time to think or organise the help you need and the system seems so obstructive?

I was talking about the same thing earlier, it's such a shame to see old people being neglected. Especially as so many of them served in the war to help protect our freedom from perhaps the most evil organisation ever.

They work their ar*es off for 50 years, pay loads of tax, and this is the thanks they get? It's disgusting!

Both my Grandads served in WW2 and have since passed away, I have their medals in my cupboard and when I look at them I think: "Wow"

What those guys did for us was truly amazing!

People are increasingly viewed as commodities or consumption fodder. If you have no political muscle or ascribed/achieved status, then up yours.

they're old. Let them rot. It's only natural.

lay off, dude. I'm the only one to answer your inane question.

At least I'm honest.

They had their time on this planet. They wasted it. Time to move on.
