If you can't swallow toothpaste because its got fluoride, then why do they put fluoride in our water supple in the USA? I mean this is just SO basic!

As far as the EPA is concerned, the agency continues to ignore and deny research compiled by its own scientists that proves fluoride is a damaging neurotoxin. Using the agency's own risk control methodology, known as the "Reference Dose," EPA scientists discovered several decades ago that the maximum acceptable dose for fluoride is 0.000007 mg/kg of body weight a day. But the average person living in a fluoridated area today ingests about 0.01 mg/kg of body weight of fluoride a day, which is 1,428 times the maximum dose.



"The implication for the general public of these calculations is clear. Recent, peer-reviewed toxicity data, when applied to EPA's standard method for controlling risks from toxic chemicals, require an immediate halt to the use of the nation's drinking water reservoirs as disposal sites for the toxic waste of the phosphate fertilizer industry," concluded EPA scientists.



Scientists have been fired for speaking out against fluoride and have had their careers ruined.



Meanwhile the sheeple would rather have brown pitted teeth then think for themselves instead of repeating the same mantra "good for your teeth" "small doses can't hurt you". When they feel that their limited intelligence is threatened they resort to nasty comments. Sure sounds like the fluoride is working.

You can't swallow toothpaste because fluoride in concentrations that high taken over time can cause problems.



My toothpaste is 0.24%, or about 1 part per 400 fluoride, which is ideal for topical application. Tap water is fluoridated to 1 part per million. There's no evidence of harm at that concentration and plenty of evidence of benefit.



The dose makes the poison. Vitamin A will cause harm in high doses too, that doesn't mean vitamin A is harmful at any dose, which is basically the argument that the anti-fluoride crowd follows.
