The wireless phone industry IS regulated and we never has problems with accessing Internet data. The speed is always fast and there is no limit on how much data you can download as long as you pay more after you hit your data cap.

Why does CONsertatives insist on saying that regulating the Internet will cost consumers more money?

Pres. Obama's AFFORDABLE CARE act made hellcare affordable to all Ameiricans. Why do CONsertatives not think the network NEUTRALITY regulation will not maintain a NEUTRAL network for the world?

You really think advanced and forward yes? Then why agree to saddle the Internet under the yoke of a 1934 Law? Do you realize how that stymied communication advances? Do you recall Ma Bell? Where your BIG innovations were COLORS, The Princess phone, The Slimline!, and (WOW) mechanical pushbuttons! Tone or Pulse!

Then the phone system became deregulated, In a 10th of the time it took to move from black candle stick rotary dial to the first colored desk phone we moved from the first wireless Motorola flip phone to the IPhone 6. And we moved from where Ma Bell owned your phone to YOU owning that phone.

Let me put it simple. Netfix sucks 30% of the bandwidth, Comcast asks a few million of Netflix more. In order to improve service and expand the bandwidth. Under Internet Regulation WE pay for Netflix's excess use and must content ourselves with the choked bandwidth, No expansion. Right now you can download a full HD movie in 1 sec. Under the infant LIFI (light) you potentially download 18 HD movies in 1 sec. Once Obama gets the Feds grubby hands on the Internet? You'll never see LIFI beyond Government offices. And they will be watching, monitoring you everywhere an LED exists. While your grown grandkids in 2055 will still be waiting a full second to download a movie.

I'm anything but a conservative, but I am opposed to it as well.

The legislation opens the door for "preferential treatment" on the Internet. What's been so wonderful about the Internet is how democratic it fundamentally is. It's pretty much the only media left where anybody's voice can carry the same weight as anybody else's.

This legislation threatens to corporatize the Internet, much like television is today, so that whoever forks in more money has the loudest voice.

For a criticism of the idea that doesn't come from the right-wing media machines.

They cause deception on every issue to make Obama look bad. It's extremely hard to tell when the Con's or Republicans are telling the truth or on the right side of an issue. The whole party is just a propaganda machine and the baby Con's seem to be satisfied with that. No action on anything just deception.

Regulation goes through life-cycles. Regulation always starts small and grows. Life cycles eventually grow them into massive regulated bureaucracies. Just because the cell industry has not reached that point yet where it is utterly oppressive, does not mean it won't.

We have the "example" of the Democrat regulation of the ATT phone monopoly AND the Democrat FCC broadcast monopoly. An INTERNET without federal Democrat "supervision" would be better.

Internet regulation just makes it easier for Comrade Obama to decide which of his political enemies he will be putting in internment camps and which he will be executing.
