Question:
Why are Obama supporters under the false assumption that their guy doesn't lie?

All candidates involved have been telling plenty lies in the past couple debates:

Obama/Romney debate: http://factcheck.org/2012/10/dubious-denver-debate-declarations/
Biden/Ryan debate: http://factcheck.org/2012/10/veep-debate-violations/

Why do you only point out the lies of the Republican candidates, but give Obama a free pass on his?

Is that honest?

We aren't. We are under the correct assumption that our guy doesn't lie as much as any Republican.

Why do conservatives only point out the lies of Democrats while giving their candidates a free pass? Is that honest?

I've tried being honest, and it doesn't work. Conservatives lie, and independents who don't know any better just assume the truth is halfway between conservative lies and liberal honesty. I'm tired of watching our country suffer as it is unwittingly pulled into supporting failed conservative policies. If I have to lie to maintain some balance, then that's what I will do for the good of my fellow countrymen. I'll go back to being honest when conservatives decide to be honest, too.

I agree that all the candidates have received some poor grades from the fact checkers. On the other hand, not all the misstatements are deliberate lies.

Has one candidate been more truthful than the other? Not as far as I can tell. Have the supporters of one candidate been more defensive? Nah.

One thing for sure: There's not much bipartisanship in the Politics section.

Judging by some of the answers, a few voters may prefer to vote for the candidate who lies the least.

So, integrity isn't part of their equation, which got us Obama in the first place. Or perhaps the mixed race president gets a bye on lies just because?

Because the average Obama sycophant is ignorant and wants the government to take care of him. He is the one boasting that Obama gave him a phone and he is going to do more. He is getting food stamps or is on disability or has a government job or is a union member. Obama supporters are all dependent on the government. Obama lies so easily and so often that it is almost expected. He said to Jeremiah Wright: "Your problem is that you think you have to tell the truth." and he said to one of his supporters to whom he had broken a promise "Come on man you should know better when politicians make promises." Obama is a dedicated socialist, has learned his Saul Alinsky and Karl Marx lessons well. They advocate lying. Obama learned well.

Ignorance is bliss? And the news media was bought out. And everyone hates Christians/Jews because they're afraid there might actually be a hell. And stupid people will vote for someone who gives them a free phone or has a similar skin pigment.

People seem to only object to the lies they don't agree with. Unfortunately, this is a common failing of the species not just one political party.

I support Obama and know he lies. All politicians lie to get votes. I just look past that and see what they are really about

We understand that all politicians stretch the truth to fit their campaign story. We're not OK with it, but what other option do we have? Vote for the guy who never told a lie? Who is that? We're looking for the lesser of two evils, and as those links both show, the difference is staggering. I counted 7 Republican lies for every Democratic lie between both debates according to your links.

Ask any po black folk if they knew MLK was a Republican, Republicans abolished slavery and the Civil Rights act was almost shot down by Democrats. They will say "yous a liar!"

There is your answer, the left keeps a veil on their base and chains on their minds.

Everybody lies. But hes not lying to the American people about what we face. Romney Ryan have to lie to win. Obama isn't doing that. Except it and move.

Same reason Romney supporters only point out the lies of Obama/Biden. Is that honest?

Edit: No, but there are a whole bunch more of them on your side, so ours outweigh yours. Let me know when Jesus and Gandhi run against each other and I'll stop counting.

Bull-Sh*t Capt Duh ! Like you post all the lies that the conservative party tells each time ! You are now busted down to a Butter Bar Lt , and can no longer be entrusted to be called Capt . By calling yourself Capt would be a disgrace for all our military personnel . Or you can withdraw your question and retain your rank as Capt . If you refuse to withdraw your question I will address you only as Butter Bar .
