Question:
Why do liberals attack Joe Lieberman and not Christopher Dodd?
2009-12-28 10:44:54 UTC
All Lieberman did was leave the Democratic Party and he is attacked by the "tolerant" left.

Meanwhile, they ignore Dodd's "accomplishments":
Head of the Senate Banking Committee and Senate Rules Committee
Discount Countrywide mortgages and special VIP treatment
Recipient of "donations" from AIG, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
Said Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were in good shape and "fundamentally sound"
Questionable acquisition of a vacation home in Ireland

What happened to all those ethics the Democrats promised? They said they were going to drain the swamp, but the stench only got stronger.

The clock is ticking on Dodd anyway. He is polling far behind his opponent and will lose his re-election bid, and for good reason. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

1. Senator Christopher Dodd (D-CT): This marks two years in a row for Senator Dodd, who made the 2008 "Ten Most Corrupt" list for his corrupt relationship with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and for accepting preferential treatment and loan terms from Countrywide Financial, a scandal which still dogs him. In 2009, the scandals kept coming for the Connecticut Democrat. In 2009, Judicial Watch filed a Senate ethics complaint against Dodd for undervaluing a property he owns in Ireland on his Senate Financial Disclosure forms. Judicial Watch's complaint forced Dodd to amend the forms. However, press reports suggest the property to this day remains undervalued. Judicial Watch also alleges in the complaint that Dodd obtained a sweetheart deal for the property in exchange for his assistance in obtaining a presidential pardon (during the Clinton administration) and other favors for a long-time friend and business associate. The false financial disclosure forms were part of the cover-up. Dodd remains the head the Senate Banking Committee.

Everything you need to know about false Hope and Change can be found in one picture: The image of President Obama embracing embattled Sen. Chris Dodd.

Dodd and Obama: Corrupt birds of a feather.

Corruptocrat Chris Dodd secured a Hospital Helper in the Demcare bill, has happily exploited the swine flu to expand the role of government, and made sanctimonious noises about banking regulatory reform to cover his own lying, sordid record as the Senator from Countrywide, but the voters in his state aren’t fooled.

His poll numbers continue to crater — and over the holiday weekend, Dodd was greeted as only a corruptocrat should be greeted after helping shepherd the Cash for Cloture health care takeovers through the Senate. Dodd is facing a tough re-election bid and at least one man at Bradley International Airport let him know just how tough it will be.

“You’re not gonna get re-elected,” the man said.

“Nice. Merry Christmas,” Dodd responded.

New Year’s wish: As Dodd goes in 2010, so goes the Democrat grip on Washington… o_O

Well, it's not just liberals who attack Lieberman. I daresay most Democrats are getting fed up with the guy. He campaigned against Obama, and he single-handedly removed any hope for a compromise on the public option.

I am concerned about Dodd's possible ethics violations, and I agree that they should be investigated.

I am not a liberal and I think Lieberman is a spiteful and stupid (I mean that... if anyone watched him debate Cheney in the VP debate so many years ago you would agree with me) politician. He has waffled on his past positions and he admits to not reading bills... he also has a huge problem with understanding statistics (notice that he rarely quotes any statistical data when complaining about any legislature that he disagrees with -- he apparently doesn't study and that's a problem for a legislator).

I will "attack" Lieberman any day I want and at any moment... and I am not a liberal.

Why do you care anyway? Does it hurt your feelings when Lieberman is "attacked"???? Buck up, sport.... this is how politics works and everyone gets attacked not just Lieberman.
