Doesn't that also mean that NOT drilling too much oil on our land does NOT affect the gas prices?

Sigh.. first off, I'm gonna spew at your source. ABCNEWSLOLZOZLOZOZLOZOL LEFTIST STATION LAOWLOOAWWLOOL THE FOX NEWS OF THE LEFT ALAIOALOWL.
Actually they're all the fox news of the left, but still, keep in mind that its still much higher than it was before he took office. I'm glad less people are getting ripped off though. I live in Canada now and they charge by the liter.

"Doesn't that also mean that NOT drilling too much oil on our land does NOT affect the gas prices?"
That would be true if Obama allowed for more drilling. But unfortunately the only reason why new rigs opened up is because they were approved under Bush and we're exporting more than we're using.
I have no doubt that Obama is influencing this. It is an election year and gas prices just happen to come down?

By fall, most will be under $3.00 but that is still higher then when he took office. I really don't see what the excitement is all about. It is still going to cost more just like in the rest of the energy sector.
The gas prices have been dropping due to the projected lower Demand in europe. That kinda sounds like supply and demand. When Our prices were getting up there, the US asked the Saudis to increase their production. That also sounds like supply and demand. Sure it's a global market but the basic concept is still in play. Increasing supply within that market will have the same impact as lowering demand. Limiting our production on public lands limits supply. Limiting production of other energy sources at the same time, Increases prices. All of our energy source are interconnected and while the president doesn't have total control over the cost we pay, he and his policies do play a role in the pie.

That useless person you call a president has nothing to do with it,that is the oil companies and what they pay per barrel.I hate to tell you but it's still well above $3 here in NH.higher than when that idiot took office.

First, you say Obama lowered as if it is Obama directly taking action lowing the prices himself. You never would have said that he raised them. So my first point is you can't only credit him when things are good.
Second, when prices go down, how the hell can you say that any other thing won't affect the price? More than one thing can affect the price.
Your logic is flawed.

Wayne LaPierre, the head of the NRA, says that Obama clearly plans to take all our guns away in his second term. The clear evidence of this, he says, is that Obama DIDN'T take our guns away in his first term. He did this just to build up peoples' confidence so he could get re-elected, and -then- take our guns away.
Republicans have said this about Fast and Furious also. That Obama freely distributed guns in Mexico, so there would be shootings of customs agents along the border, so -then- Obama could react by taking our guns away.
It just continuously amazes me that people fall for arguments like this. The GOP really brings out the worst in people!
Anyway, we can apply the same logic to gas prices. Obama is artificially lowering gas prices now so that he can get re-elected, and then he'll DOUBLE gas prices. Why? So he can make the oil companies richer. God knows, the Republicans have NEVER done anything to make oil companies richer. 8^)

The price of gas is still a lot higher than when he took office. A lot higher!
His policies have raised the price by $2 a gallon, and we are supposed to be grateful that it's only now $1.50 more a gallon?

I paid $3.52 yesterday, it's still more expensive than when Bush was President and wasn't trying to shut down energy production.
