"The Dayton Police Department is lowering its testing standards for recruits.

It's a move required by the U.S. Department of Justice after it says not enough African-Americans passed the exam.

Under the previous requirements, candidates had to get a 66% on part one of the exam and a 72% on part two.

The D.O.J. approved new scoring policy only requires potential police officers to get a 58% and a 63%. That's the equivalent of an ā€˜Fā€™ and a ā€˜Dā€™."

This is exactly what has happened to our Government run public school system. Dumb it down, so all can pass.

Do African American's find this sort of policy degrading ?

Of course not. Equal outcome has been the dem's goal for decades. They couldn't succeed with equal opportunity. Ask them to compromise what advantages they have for the good of the rest and you get Madison Wisconsin.

Not when Obama makes millions each year and doesn't give it all to the government, no. They want the illusion of equality, not true equality.

That's exactly the case. Democrats were told they got to be doctors and scientists as children and now they're mad they were lied to. Not everyone gets to be successful.

Lowering standards doesn't negate it being equal opportunity. It is stupid though. I do not support this kind of affirmative action as it's nothing but harmful.

no doubt.

I'm sick of all this catering to minorities like they are so special.

but I'm not convinced that failure to pass a standardized test makes you "incompetent."

If you think that you have the same opportunities as the Koch Bros. or the Bush Family or any senators son, you should lay off the bong.

I'm just sayin..............
