1, The same VP candidate two years in a row? Never. It happened before, hundred years ago or more, but it just doesn't happen anymore.



2, Dick Cheney is absolutely hated by almost all Democrats, most independents, almost all libertarians and probably half of Republicans.



3, He'll be 71 or 72 that year. McCain's age, but with numerous heart attacks.



4, He'd never survive the Republican primary. The crap they would dig up on him would sink him.



He probably won't run, and if he does run, he will not get the nomination.



My money's on John Thune.

First thing you gotta realize is that Dick Cheney had a lower popularity rating than GWB when he served as Vice President and that a clear majority of the Americans believe he is a cold, calculating and crass individual = Obama landslide victory.
