At some point in most peoples' lives, they gain a perception of self awareness. Shortly thereafter, they gain critical thinking skills. Usually people gain critical thinking skills at age 10-12.
I used to love talk radio. used to listen to it every day with my father. at about age 10 I started askign myself... How do I know what this creep is saying, is true.
After I performed my own research and got a complete view of the stories, I realized I was being lied to. Upon that realization, I started studying more and developing my own opinion on political issues and developed my own views of what is right, what is wrong, and what really doesn't matter.
At that point I realized that I was one of the libs talk-radio was talking about. Not because I disagreed with certain things being right or wrong, but because I didn't march lockstep believing the government should enforce those views.
I also realized the Republicans on talk radio weren't small government Republicans, they were pro corporation big government to enforce morals, neocons fascists.
Now everytime I hear or read the drivel from talk-radio or Newsmax supporting an issue, I give the issue a second look and extra scrutiny to see if I really can support it.
