Do You Ever Get Sick of Following Politics?

I realized a few days ago that I have steadily paying less and less attention to current events and politics in general, for about a year and a half now. And no it has nothing to do with obama or palin or harry reid or eric canter or any politician or any event. I think i am tired of getting so emotionally involved with every event and election. I start feeling almost nauseous when reading through the day's news or hearing "experts" analyze every little thing .

I am trying to figure out if I am developing a permanent apathy towards politics or if every political junkie goes through periods like this. Have you ever had a long period of time where you just could not stand paying attention to politics anymore?

Yes but unfortunately following politics is a necessary evil.

I am emotionally inept in every aspect, so I don't find myself "emotionally involved" or emotionally fragile, though I do find apathy springing up from time to time, especially if the arguments or info are somewhat repetitive.

But my cool down period is not a year and a half, but 2 to 4 weeks with no politics. I switch from politics to focusing on criminology, economics, or psychology. Or more mindless items like creating riddles, puzzles, hanging with friends, etc.

This is my example to add to the list anways.

the folk who run for place of work are often the extremes of the political spectrum with the aid of fact no one desires to p.c. somebody who likes 2 aspects. having a 2 celebration device that are opposites are inevitable with the aid of fact the only way you may get your invoice handed with over 50% is by utilising forming a coalition. If each individual in congress have been an autonomous, not something might get finished and purely charges that are desperately mandatory might get handed. This sounds like a physically powerful factor, yet while it includes charges that manage money its hard to tell what's desperately mandatory and what isn't.

Yeah, after the last Presidential election when my fellow Americans could offer up no one better than Obama and McCain, it sickened me to realize, being a moderate, I may never get to vote for a decent candidate again.

The fact is that I wish I didn't have to pay attention to it. The Republicans have made it clear though that if I don't they will start unjustified wars and torture people. They will lie about things out of both sides of their mouths and then on top of that they want to shove the christian religion down my throat.

Not when they look like Mr. Brown circa 1982 in Cosmo.

I'm starting to feel the same way.

It's frustrating because both parties say they want the best for America, but they don't DO the best for America.

Not for more than a couple of days at a time.

Sick of the MSM reporters giving their personal diatribes, but as for the processes--never!
