Question:
Why does ANYONE support Palin, and why do you guys think she is capable at ALL to run the USA?

Palin is a heartbeat away from becoming President of the United States. Even if she isn't I doubt we will benefit ANYTHING from her as Vice President.

She doesn't know ANYTHING about foreign relations and policies.
She doesn't know ANYTHING about the cause/effect of our economic crisis.

She makes George W. Bush look smart!
Yet I see millions of supporters.... yet I really can't understand why. I dont even look at her at a biased viewpoint, but I can't help and sit in wonder after I see her interviews. Yet people are mad about her.

If McCain really trusted Palin, his initial move to cancel the debate and campaign for the time being wouldn't have happened. Even if he was keeping his Senator duties, Palin is not a Senator! If he trusted her and if we were ready to be under her guidance, Palin would've been entrusted with the campaign! But even McCain knows that would be a disaster, so he didn't!

YET WHY PALIN.
PLEASE.
PROPER AND HONEST RESPONSES.

Well, the people in Alaska seem to think she did a pretty good job. It was a mistake to not cut her loose and let her do interviews, because it tarnished national opinion of her. Either way, she has executive experience, and a track record of not screwing the people for political gain, comparative to a lawyer turned extremely liberal senator, I'd bet on Palin.

She appeals to the religiously "conservative" crowd who want to ban abortion and require the teaching of religious doctrine in public school. She also appeals to those lower working class Republicans who are anti-intellectual and who like to think the US is a democracy where anyone can do anything, and where gut instincts are a better basis for decision making than book learning and relevant experience. In other words, she appeals to the old Bush voters.

Her working class supporters also like the fact that she claims to be a defiant anti corruption "reformer." They love the paradox that she herself has skirted the law (no pun intended), and is defying subpoenas on an ethics investigation.

The corporate class Republicans supported her because they believed she was blank slate and would do what they wanted. I think they are pulling their support now though because she is just too ignorant on all the issues, is showing a tendency to act erratically and independently, has a checkered personal history, and may have current legal problems.

Palin is not necessarily unintelligent: but she is uninformed, inexperienced, and unqualified.

If McCain wins, and should he no longer be able to hold office, when she steps in, the American public will shout out.

Both Republicans and Democrats find her to be unsuitable for the position.

Her only qualifications are negated by the strength of them, one by one.

Governor: okay, great... of 9000 people? next please

Foreign Relations: with subtle Canada and making fish trade with Russia? next please

Then her strong points:

pro-life: yes, pro-life, by not allowing abortion, but faking her daughter's pregnancy as a failure of her abstinence only education.

religion: jeez... have you listened to this extremist nut? denial... denial.. denial...

woman: Hillary would win that fight TKO first round...

Each of her interviews have been a disaster, and her speeches, though moving, lacked true substance.

She'll never make it to executive office... even if McCain does.

Maybe he felt she too was a maverick. Whether he completely trusts her yet or not, he still picked her. I think the reason her supporters like her, other than her looks, is because she is a woman who shares all or some of their conservative values and won't take away their guns or put anymore restraints on the rest of us concerning, anytime soon.

I think that the right wingers are just stubborn and refuse to think differently at all or admit that their candidates aren't the best.

Stubbornness and ignorance.

Everyone I know thinks that McCain/Palin are the best things that ever happened, but they can't give a damn thing to support it.

joe needs to expose the lack of knowledge or we are doomed for 4 more years , and i cringe to think about it, it needs to get embarrassing in the debate.
