Question:
Has Obama's stimulus package been working in your town?

I'm just kind of curious as I'm in desperate need of a job. I recently moved out of LA County to Orange County and have applied to several low-pay service jobs that I'm well qualified for. So far no luck, but I wonder if I should have hope because Obama claims that the stimulus package is working and more people are with jobs, yet I checked the unemployment rate and it looks like it's increasing...

I don't know if the unemployment rate is going up or down, but the stimulus package is making my morning drive longer, by expanding the highway, and causing lane shifts which costs me more time away from my private employer job, and from my family. Of course here in the great state of New Jersey, the road workers have to be union members, or at least page the prevailing union wages. And as polls have shown, union members tend to vote primarily for democrats. But I am not saying anything like this is planned. I am sure it is a coincidence.

Yes, there are signs that the stimulus package is working. The local prostitutes now have better housing.

Yes, I have seen numerous new projects starting up that are a result of Obama's stimulus.

Thank god Obama and the Democrats are BEGINNING to pull us out of the Bush/Republican recession

(though most experts agree it will take years of Dem control to complete the cleanup)
