Question:
Do you support your president?

It disgusts me how many people make fun of George W. Bush. Especially when it's coming from residents not of the USA. But then again, Americans are acting out in this childish manner, so why shouldn’t other people living in other countries do the same? There are shirts, shows, posters, and bumper stickers, basically anything that includes words created just to make fun of Bush. How is this patriotic? I completely understand and support anyone who has a disagreement with the president; it's only right that you should be upset and want to change something that is making your life harder than what it should be. But so many people go about these disagreements the wrong way. It almost seems they are not smart enough to know that they can do something to fix a problem other than sitting around making fun of our president.

To nokia, What do you mean "Didn't even TRY to STOP them", first off, No one knew that 9/11 was gonna happen or when it was gonna happen. Secondly, how was he gonna stop them, he was in Florida, at a school filled with second graders, and as soon as it happend, the secret service told him it, and by the time the airforce would have gotten to shoot the planes down (which I wouldn't have to wanted to happen) they had already hit they're targets. And right after that, he declared war, so how are you justifing your statement with these facts.

And to the asker, I completely agree.

He is so funny. How could you not! Its not good we be so tight about things...We made fun of Clinton too remember!

Patriotism is not love of your government its love of your country and hatred toward anyone who happens to go against your countries constitutional foundations. I personally find acts like "the patriot act" and "protect America act" and the "military commissions act" to be unpatriotic and treasonous. These are actually not things I laugh about.

I am for small government, not for huge nationalist government like Bush - Bush is completely against American values and supports communist things like warrant-less wiretaps (Clinton did also - I do not play favorites).

I do do things to try and fix things. I write my representatives and educate as many people s I can about the problems in our country. But sometime I need a little laugh which is nothing a Bushism can't cure.

********EDIT:

you said "Do you honestly think 9/11 would not have happened if Kerry had been elected"

No, it still would have happened because Kerry did not run for president until after 9/11 happened.

Also, Kerry has profited more from this war than any person in Washinton. He made near 5 million off it it - I certainly do notthink he would have stopped it.

Also, I voted for Bush. Then I found out how many times he lied to me and I am ANGRY. I feel betrayed and hurt by him and I do not give respect to ANY liar. Wiether it be Clinton or Bush. Obama and McCain also lie so I give them no respect either.

*****edit again:

you said"I firmly believe no matter what Bush did in reaction to 9/11 no one would be happy about it"

You are probably right but I think what he did after 9/11 was fine. What I have a problem with is his idea that he could use the 9/11 attacks to catapult us into any unrelated war he so choose under more false pretenses than I can count on my fingers. I am also upset he has not made any effort and does not seem to care about finding a terrorist that actually attacked us.

first of all it is our right to make fun of our presidents and i dont see why you would take this so personally. i cant think of a president that we havent made 'fun' of thats what makes us stand apart, that little thing we have called the constitution which allows us to speak our minds! im sure it doesnt work in gw's favor that he is dumb as a rock though. but why should i just follow the herd without any independent thought of my own just because someone might call me "unpatriotic"? believe me i love america and everything it was founded for and everything it stands for, which is why this is so sad its slowy being pulled out from underneath us and we are too caught up in our routine lives to stand up for ourselves. besides what has he done for me in the last 8 years (except quadruple gas prices, etc etc) and steer the country down into the ground and make everyone hate us

"... Do you honestly think 9/11 would not have happened if Kerry had been elected... of course we will never know."

umm WOW good thing you are not president, and yes im pretty sure we do know what happeded, kerry ran for president 3 years later. im so glad i took the time to answer this, now i feel stupid too talking physics to a goldfish

first all, you don't know what G.W.Bush has don to this country since he took over . when Bill Clinton left office we never had a deficit and just look where Bush has don to our country, we owe so much money in the trillions, now How is going to handle that! you tell me. I Pray that he don't get barrack gets elicited and if he does i don't think he will last 3 month before a nut job snipes him. Lord i hope not but i wouldn't put it pass them. he can taste the White House so bad if he don't win i think he will shed tears because he really thinks he can't run this country! I don't think so because he is talking in a to us in such promising way and with a deficit that big! I think Bozo the clown could do a better job! As for your question about president bashing , its been going on for decades and will go on for ever! and i think its a little humor that they all go through and if it bothered them they would put a stop to it. but when they hear their name they get off on it no matter what it is for. And as for Hillary, if she runs with Barrack i wouldn't be suprised if she had him put on the back burner and goy this country back to be the greatest country in the world again, the chinese have us by the throat.you might have alot of money but i bet you don't have it in your freezer like some Jefferson's do down here in New Orleans. as for me, i don't care who wins the preidenisy, because its all inthe Lord's hands now and always will be!

I do help my nation and my President. I would move on all day why, however as a substitute, I will reply your query ffirst with a query: Where in hell do you suppose this nation might be in these days with the likes of Kerry on the helm? We might have already surrendered to the terrorist and we regularly might be in an entire out despair. Also, the left demands to suppose of this earlier than bashing our currant management: one million. No on soil terrorist assaults seeing that we took the combat to them. two. Economy on a quick monitor. three. Home possession at an all time list prime. four. Unemployment at an all time low. five. Stock marketplace (Dow) at an all time prime. Just a couple of ideas.

I totally agree with you. I just chewed out some guy (foreigner) for asking us (Americans') why we elected President Bush for another term, it is just wrong. I know and admit that he hasn't been the best president ever, but at least he contained the war in Iraq and the middle east to their soil and not ours. He has made many achievements, though us ungrateful naive Americans' seem to think the opposite.

No. I am proud to say that I have never voted for or supported a bush.

chicken-george proved me right when he allowed terrorists to attack the USA and murder Americans on 9/11 while he did NOTHING to even TRY to STOP them.

george w bush is a fool/coward/traitor.

Is that why you're NOT in iraq FIGHTING Today?

..."I have a choice to not join."

Funny how the majority of America re-elected him... Yet we still complain? It is shameful that so many people (Americans primarily) that are blatantly disrespectful and rude to our highest ELECTED position. You don't have to like President Bush as a person, but at least have the courtesy to respect his position to which he was properly elected to.
