Apotheker, the recently ousted HP CEO, plunged HP' stock by 50% in less than a year. Last week he was kicked out from HP but not until he received a total of 14 million as "good bye" package. Bear in mind that he already got $10 million signing bonus when he took the job 11 months ago. So $24 millions + other bonuses + salary for 11 months of very lousy job. What a corrupt system we have? Can anyone explain. We keep rewarding filthy rich losers for bad work.

what business of yours is it? You have no idea what his contract was. You have no right to decide who gets what nor does our government. Go get a college degree and see if that helps..

I do think our capitalist system is corrupt and unfair. I hope that we improve and change this old system to something that works better. Capitalism is only meant to make a few rich while they have the best of lawyers to protect themselves. We need to do all we can to change this system. People need educations and work but we must motivate ourselves to take on those with the most powers.

How do you call it corrupt when he did nothing illegal? This isn't embezzlement or fraud.

Secondly, even if a CEO runs a failing company and makes millions, so what, that individual was chosen by that company for a reason. Their performance isn't linked to their pay. Nor is any other position linked to pay (Besides salesmen who work off commission).

I just don't understand why you're only attacking rich people who fail in business. What about rich people like Tom Cruise who create no jobs, and just show up to read a script? Then have low sales at the box office because they are supposed to draw in a big crowd.

You should open up and understand the failures of the CEO is irrelevant to their salary. Just like any other profession. Plus in Capitalism, at least you acknowledge failure as a part of the system, that's why it works. Human error will always exist, socialism/communism assumes humans are perfect and there are no flaws.

I'll explain it real quick... This corrupt system isn't capitalism, but rather it is corporatism instead. They just sold it to us as "capitalism".

That is why the streets of New York are filled with protesters and police.

All this is about to change.
