How will big business get the little guy legislated out of business in the coming 3D printer boom?

Already one 2 man firm has made and exquisite metal firearm on a 3D metal printer. As these items get cheaper it could become possible for most people to have a factory. How will big corporations get the little guy legislated out of being able to compete with them.

It's not the "big guys" who have trouble with 3D printers, it's the other "little guys" who want to be "big guys" that are making the fuss - All 3D printers need specialized software designed to reproduce the object being "printed". The designers of the "speciality software" are afraid of patent infringements and are moving to lobby for restrictions on the use of 3D printers until such patents are guaranteed.

The 3d printer is great for prototyping, or designer items. But a slow $30,000 printer and +$1000 a year CAD software does not replace the fast, +1000 part per minute assembly line.

I always shop the "little guy" or the "mom and pops" if they can give me the product, service and value I want. Don't act like they can't compete, because it they have an efficient business model they can. The ones that don't close shop. No legislation necessary.
