There's people in my class who talk about **** happening in the news and politics and they all seem to know about pretty much everything with wars, election etc.

I honestly have no interest and feel so lost when they talk.

This boy in my class was talking to our teacher about Syria and then she turned to me and asked a question about missiles/aiding or something and I said no after staring at the boy to give me an answer. I bet they just thought 'aw ur so helpless, bless'.

Most politicians are clueless about politics , the only thing they know is optics . They all trying to sell you a bill of goods. There is a reason the voting rate is so low.

There's a difference between knowledge and wisdom. Some people have a lot of knowledge, but hold ideas that are impractical and ridiculous. Remembering factoids and following up on current events doesn't make anyone smarter. If you want to learn about politics just check the news everyday, but use an international and non-biased website, such as alternet.org

well the world has never been so informed in 1900s it took months for news to travel a war could be over before you knew it had started and of course the media love it spreading bad news is their bread and butter and wrapped up in ribbons and bows can make lots of money so you can see why most of what you hear and see is total rubbish we are capitalists we make money and bending the truth helps so you are not clueless you are sensible how do you think we got into this awful mess massive debt immigration is rife refugees by the million you call this intelligence you are missing NOTHING

No. But that's because I stay informed.

If you want to be aware of what's going on, you'll have to literally seek out the information on your own. Watching the mainstream news (Fox, CNN, NBC, etc.) is virtually useless because they don't actually report on real news...they just fill air time with crap like high speed car chases, the Kardashians, sports scores, the latest fashion trends, the NFL athlete-arrest-of-the-week, who got kicked off Dancing With The Stars last night, and other trivial brain candy. When they actually do talk about politics it's mostly just editorial.

I'd recommend following independent news sources.

Don't feel discouraged. I doubt your classmates are as informed as they think. If you want to really know the truth about the world look into some conspiracy theories. I'd recommend:

9/11 Inside job

Nuclear weapons hoax

War on terror being a scam

Multiculturalism scam

Climate change

Moon landings hoax

National debt hoax/Modern Monetary Theory

WW2 truth

Cold War hoax

The definition of a politician is = A Habitual LiAR. Each will look you in the eye & agree with you completely, but when elected. Each does'nt know you or your public needs. Each politician has their own agenda. Mike

If you feel clueless, then you might be a Fox News viewer.

Being on here isn't going to help. Try reading the newspaper, listen to the news, or read a few history books.

I feel that way sometimes. Focus on the facts and the right opinion will come at the right time.
