Question:
Do you support Republicans' proposal to fund a border wall by taxing Internet p0rn?
Arizona state Rep. Gail Griffin (R) introduced a bill this week that would tax access to p0rn to fund President Trump’s border wall, Fox News reported Tuesday.

Under the proposed legislation, formally known as House Bill 2444, electronic devices sold in the state would be required to include p0rn blockers by law.

However, those who wish to view p0rnography would be required to request the block be deactivated from the company that distributed the device and pay a deactivation fee of $20 to the Arizona Commerce Authority.

According to the publication, the fees would then be transferred to the John McCain Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Fund.

The fund reportedly provides support to a number of efforts by way of grants, including the president’s proposed border wall.

You really have to wonder how some of those Republicans figured out how to fill out the forms to become political candidates.

Remember when Vicente Fox was saying "Mexico is not paying for that ******* wall". The jokes are coming over this

Easy funding. I've got no problem with it. I'd rather that money go somewhere useful, like education or health care, but so be it. Legalize the hippy lettuce and you'd have a lot more cash, too.

Yes. I am in Arizona and we have a lot of kidnappings and sexual trafficking here. I would support this proposal and support a border wall.

One person's opinion, not the party's proposal.

Sounds like an idiotic plan because hackers would spread a way of getting around the block almost as fast as they put it in place. That does not even go into all of the first amendment ramifications. That whole thing about trying to define pornography versus art... Best not to mess with it.

An 80 year old woman says that if you pay 20 bucks, you can "get your computer unlocked", allowing you to look at porn.

Normally I don't laugh at old people's technological illiteracy.

But, I think I'll make an exception in this case.

Sounds like a great plan.

Yeah...that's not going anywhere.

I could explain the crazy that is Arizona politics to you if you want, but this format doesn't have the time. We have usually 5-6 really crazy ones every year. The problem is they are part time and write these in isolation and don't look at all the issues.

This thing pretty clearly isn't Constitutional on either the state or Federal level.

Well That way they will be the ones paying.

A great idea. But then the revenue should go to federal law enforcement and anti-human trafficking efforts.
