Question:
Why is Yahoo Answers selectively posting questions?

My anti Obama question I asked an hour ago never showed up. It's in my profile as an asked question, but it's not in the list of asked questions for that category! Is Yahoo becoming yet another part of our Liberal Mainstream Media?

My question is.......Would Bush have been able to get away with pre-selecting which reporters are able to ask him questions?
The same way barack does?

Happens to everyone

Your question - no he wouldnt have.

I don't know how yahoo screen the questions. I rarely ask questions. I recall one time I asked a question in non-politics section. It did not show up either.

To answer your hidden question, I think in his days, Bush has already gotten away with pre-selecting process also. Obama just adopts Bush's strategies that work. We never get anything live or real on the media these days. Even reality shows are scripted.

Don't worry, I had my pro-Obama question act in the same manner yesterday, so I would lose the paranoia.

Regarding Bush's news conferences: yes, he did it all the time.

To those that believe that the questions are somehow submitted in advance: that is pure nonsense. Or, do you believe that when the reporter tried repeatedly to get in the cheap shot about "Why did you wait five days before expressing outrage about the AIG bonuses" that Obama's staff had approved that beforehand? Some of you out there should attempt rational thought occasionally :)

LOL... Bush did do the same thing! Remember the joking about whether or not Obama would call on Helen Thomas? Part of that was because Bush would avoid her like the plague. Partisan politics and screening questions did not start with the current administration.

It's strange, but it happened to me yesterday for the FIRST time to one of my answers. My response didn't contain profanity or even a hateful tone, just my opinion about liberalism. I have used the Yahoo homepage and email for Years.....but that could change. A posting board is supposed to be for all opinions. As long as they are not threatening or filled with profanity...they should STAY.

Yahoo is a business and they will not approve any entry that could affect profit.

Regarding pre-selecting. I believe that all interviews, presidential, congressional or otherwise are preselected. Friendly reporters are the only ones selected and questions are submitted in advance, discussed with the staff to come out with the "appropriate" answers.

Post the link to the question, and I'll provide a link to the page it's on.

if it's an open question, then it's out there somewhere, you probably just have to search for it.

Bush did pre-select which reporters asked questions. Google "Jeff Gannon".

The puppet masters picked the reporters who would ask the questions...not to embarrass Obama with an important pertinent question....that is a no no....

Quit your bitching. I posted a question on Conservapedia and it never showed up. OK So clearly it isn't against conservatives or liberals it's just a stupid glitch. And if your question was indeed that stupid then you shouldn't question why they removed it.

Edit: Let's see how long before this answer get's deleted. So they I can write a question about how Yahoo is conservative and waste everyone's time just like you just did.

All presidents do it, they use different methods but all know they are going to call on, some by seating arrangement. John Kennedy had the questions submitted prior to the news conference and if a reporter violated it he/she would not be back

Because if you think about it, at least two million people are asking questions at the same time you are. Maybe each person has a chance. like 25%

Yeah they delete my anti obama questions at least once per day Even if it is an honest question and not Just some rant or slandering in any way.

And no Bush didn't have the pleasure of having the media and the liberals in his pocket and many of the recent Obama scandals would have been way bigger if it was Bush who did them.

When I ask a question about that wonderful patriot, ALAN KEYES, the questions sometimes don't get posted.

To answer your question: Maybe he did?

Who knows? I would doubt it, however.

i'm sure other presidents would be ridiculed for having pre-selected questions so he could read off a teleprompter.

Yahoo is completely in the bag for Barry and donated 90% of its 2008 campaign money to Democrats:

Because they're a private company that reserves the right to selectively post people's questions. That's why all the violation notices -- especially when you post right-wing stuff.
