If the parties never switched, as you conservatives maintain, then would you please explain how did the south, which was always conservative, go from Democratic to Republican by the 1970's? Explain.
And tell us why the KKK and neo nazi groups are called the Alt- RIGHT.

You're more or less right. The Democrats have made a distinct switch, the Republicans less so. But it isn't quite so simple.

The Progressive movement started with the Republicans. Remember Teddy Roosevelt? Woodrow Wilson really set the tone, being a progressive Democrat and the most racist president in our country's history. His administration showed the way for others such as Benito Mussolini how populism, progressive politics, and nationalism could blend into fascism in place of Marxism. The Democrats have mostly stuck to that template, though they've continued to support Marxists on occasion (and JFK was not of the type, having been ardently anti-communist and not so far to the left).

The "alt-right" and the KKK are lumped in where they are by another historical quirk. Hard left socialists defined national socialism as opposed to the international socialism of the classics. This was "right" to Lenin, and we've swallowed this bit of propaganda ever since, even though the nationalism of the fascisti was the only distinguishing difference in their policies.

It's astonishing how bad the education system has become. It's little more than a baby sitting, liberal indoctrination operation that we pay enormous tax dollars for. Joshua is correct. The alt-right is new liberal label that did not exist prior to the Fall of 2016. The alt-right is the liberal definition of far left wing.

What was the point of switching parties after the 1964 Civil Rights Act was enacted? Please explain that to me. Do you really believe segregation and white supremacy will ever make a come back regardless of party? Get real. Republicans fought for civil rights for most of its history. What does being conservative have to do with any of it? The left has skewed history so badly that unless you are willing to read some actual history, you would be wise to shut your face and stop making a fool of yourself.

The term alt-right is a leftist invention. LOL

remember that "warmonger" President who was routinely savaged in the media?

remember how he was constantly attacked for fighting a war that "nobody wanted".... how he was called a "butcher" for continuing to send our young men to die when so many "right-thinking" Americans just wanted peace?

..remember his attacks on civil liberties? remember how liberals everywhere wrung their hands raw over his "flag-waving nationalism?"

remember how he was attacked for serving the "rich" and "Christian extremists?" remember how Democrats ran a "moderate war hero" against him who promised to "bring home the troops?"

in case you don't remember... his name was Abraham Lincoln..
