Question:
Should the Republicans be shamed and punished?
2013-10-14 15:34:24 UTC
The government is shut down because Republicans decided to play politics and not fund Obama Care, a Law vetted by the Supreme Court .Obama exercised his constitutional right not to sign this unprecedented literally blackmailing Republican catastrophe .

Recent polls show clearly that the vast public majority blames the Repubs and even many Repubs admit this defunding CR should never ever have been pushed .

Conservatives have always been the LAW AND ORDER , "HANG EM HIGH" advocates punishing all who have made mistakes WITHOUT MERCY .

Now these whining hypocrites are demanding that Obama et al not publically and rightly humiliate them and shame them like they have always done to homosexuals and women etc .

These extreme conservative effective terrorists have shut down the government effecting millions and they want no accounting .

they didn't just refuse to fund the ACA, they refused to fund the entire government.

I say we start by cutting all government funds to the Tea Party states. We close their military bases and National parks. We do as they demand and stop spending any federal money in their states at all. No road money, no military contractors, etc..

Last I checked, the Constitution said the Congress controls spending.

Not a damn thing in the Constitution that says Congress must fund a bad government program.

I didn't support their efforts to defund ObamaCare, but that was a tactical problem. The goal is a good one.

One answer says it's Obama fault because he won't give up on Obama Care. Why should he? The Supreme Court has ruled it the law of the land. The cons are so set on repealing it that they can't do anything else. That is one stupid party. If Obama Care is so bad for the country let it continue. It will kill it self if the system doesn't work. I for one thinks it will work and get most of the free loaders of the backs of the people who's been carrying them for years.

For the hundredth time, the majority of Americans don't want Obamacare, the country can't afford the trillions it will cost taxpayers, and the GOP has offered to fund the government without Obamacare and the Dems refused it. Pull your head out and look around you.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can't pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Over the past 5 years, our federal debt has increased by $3.5 trillion to $8.6 trillion. That is "trillion" with a "T." That is money that we have borrowed from the Social Security trust fund, borrowed from China and Japan, borrowed from American taxpayers....Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ''the buck stops here.'' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America's debt limit."

- Senator Barack Hussein Obama II; U.S. Senator, 2006

I NEVER thought I'd say that I agree 100% with Barack Obama on ANYTHING.

No, the government is shutdown because Obama refuses to compromise. The country is a mess right now with the shutdown. He could have avoided all that, but noooo his precious obamacare is more important to him than not having a shutdown.

Being a Republican means never having to admit it when you are wrong, which is most of the time:

They will greet us like liberators

The war will pay for itself

He has WMD

Romney will win in a landslide

Cutting taxes will create more jobs.

The war will last weeks, not months.

If Obama is elected, it will hurt the stock market.

They would have to accept facts and reality for that to work.

The accept neither so that would be pointless to try.

"Play politics"? If anything, Obama is the master at playing that game. Ultimately, it's his fault. He does hold the highest position.
