OK so here are my thoughts on the whole penn state thing. Now sure the crime committed was horrible, but I noticed something about this whole case that barely anyone has commented on and here is what I think about it.

OK to all of you who want to get down on Jeo Paterno. Let's look at the whole situation shall we. Now sure you can say that he should have done more, but I notice how mostly everyone is pining the whole thing on him and not paying attention to A the person who actually committed the crime and B the guy who told Joe about it. Now you all want to call Joe disgusting, a failure and all that but. Lets just walk through this OK.

Now first the guy who told Joe about it, was a full grown man capable of making his own choices and doing the right thing. this man witnessed the rape and not only did he not stop the rape, but he waited a full day and then asked his father what he should do before even telling Joe about the situation. Now sure Joe could have called the police, but other guy could have as well, yet barely anyone has even commented on that fact.

Now just think about it. Even though we all know that he was telling the truth about it. What if he had been lying? Joe didn't see the rape. He only heard about it and though the man was a known child molester. You can't just accuse someone without any evidence. If you heard that someone saw big foot would you be able to call the news and tell them it was a fact? No. However if you saw it with you own eyes, you can argue it more than a person who has heard about it.

My point on that is that if it's OK for the man who saw it go down to tell his superior then shouldn't it be OK for his superior to tell his boss about something he only heard about? and the guy who saw it. Did not get fired, he is not in danger of serving jail time. In fact they are protecting him. So what is up with that?

Also I would like to point out how I'm hearing a lot about Joe being in the wrong, but barely nothing about the man who actually did the crime. That being said. I really don't care about football. Never really liked it. It's actually very boring to me, but fair is fair and you have to admit that there is some pretty unfair stuff going on here.

Now that's just what I think. I'm not saying I'm right, but that's what I think. But what I want to know it what do you think? Do you agree. Do you disagree if so on either end why? Is there something you would like to add to this conversation. I want yo know what you think about this whole thing.

There is obviously a corrupt culture in the athletic department at Penn state that everyone involved in the mess took part in especially the guy who waked in on the rape in progress and did, nothing to stop it. How ever Jo-Pa had been in charge for 46 years and was more powerful that any of the administrators and piratically a god to his players, coaches and fans. I would think he was responsible for had happened even if he hat been 1000's miles away that day, because he is the one more than any other person created that culture. When you look at what people di it obviously that they did not care about the victim and were only concerned the reputation of the University, the football team and Jo-pa I think you don't get it because you are not a football fan, and see this as an isolated event,

One, the witness was a college student at the time, hardly a grown man. He went to the one person he trusted to do what needed done. JoePa. Now, no matter what his job title is, Paterno was the most powerful man on the Penn State campus. Has been for decades. He ruled that place like he owned it. As an adult, in a position of power and responsibility, it was his moral duty to do more.

Joe wouldn't even let the witness tell him what he saw. He cut him off. He didn't ALLOW the witness to explain what he saw. That alone is reprehensible. He then reported it to the man who was his boss in name only and washed his hands of the matter. A real man would have gotten the full story. He would have relayed that to his "boss" and then followed up, asking what was being done about it. Having been friends and worked with the perv for decades, he could have even confronted the sick s.o.b. He did none of these things.

Yes, Sandusky is the monster here. But Joe could have, and should have done more. Had he done what any caring person would have done, he could have saved a decade's worth of kids from being molested. Instead, he did nothing.

Umm, that's a super long in favor of "Joe Pa" rant. but "Joe Pa" nor Penn is actually "Politics". I don't know why people keep posting Penn and "Joe Pa" stuff here! I have no sympathy for Joe Pa, and I am a Penn State football fan. It's high time that this whole scandal came into the LIGHT. And most people are not blaming "Joe Pa" for the rapes, they are rightfully blaming him for NOT going to police with what he knew! If it was HIS grandson, do you think that he would have just stopped with telling of it to the school principle or assistant? You know darn well that he would NOT! He maybe would have killed Sandusky with his own hands or cane even before he called the cops pfft! Please! Stop defending a guy who has even admitted himself that he SHOULD have done MORE pfft! It's so sickening it really is! Think of those poor abused KIDS!!!

This has got to be the most pointless news story of 2011. I don't know who any of these people are. My first reaction was "Who? Never heard of him."
