George Bush he started a meaningless war over a lie and got thousands and thousands of innocent soldiers killed including innocent people from Iraq who did nothing. He basically invaded and destroyed a country that did nothing to Us and that is why America is so hated. He went ot Iraq to steal oil from saddam hussien and the whole 911 was an inside job just so they can have a reason to go to iraq and steal,

Obama has not been a good president thus far he hasn't really done to much but he is no way worse then bush. The damage that bushed cause is why this country is going through the mess it is today.Bush ruined the lives of thousands of people and almost bankrupt this country. The whole Bin laden thing was a lie he was not behind any terrorist attack they just lied and to the people and said that it was him to make people believe that 911 was a terrorsist attack again all of it was a BIG lie.Bin laden was actually friends with Bushes father he was friends with the bushes.

The people who praised Bush are the perfect example why this government gets away with what it does they are brainwashed to believe all of the lies they tell and would never accept it they will blame it all on obama because since he is a black man they rather put everything on him.Again he isn't a good president either but he doesn't even come close to being worse then Bush.

Obama can't clean up the mess Bush left behind.Obama is the better president but I'm convinced this country is screwed no matter who the president is.

I detest overt liars, Obama has cornered the market on lying. He lied about Obama Care and the way it was passed is tainted. Gruber confirmed that the law was a lie.

There were an ambassador and 3 others that were killed with no sufficient explanation given.

We had the Internal Revenue scandal which has many questions still unanswered and a former employee of the IRS that has information about the scandal. She is now retired on the tax payers money getting around $185,000 per year.

He treat the military with disdain and as the Commander-In-Chief has had many blunders involving the way fallen American warriors are treated upon arriving back in the United States for burial. He refused to allow the money to be released for the family members to pick up the fallen heroes up once they arrive back on United States soil to be properly buried.

He refused to allow the World War 2 veterans to see their memorial.

Good president, this president has never been in business, and have no idea as to how business work. the people he surround himself with to provide information and advise have no work place experience, only theory, thus the financial situation George Bush left with the debt has gone up significantly since Obama has been president. He has raised The debt more than all the other presidents combined.

This without a doubt is the worst president in the history of the United States. He should be impeached for all the illegal action he has taken since being in office.

For all the faults Bush might have had, I think he had the United States at the foremost idea as oppose to Obama. I think Bush was a far better president than Obama has been or will be.

I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.

Talk about "sheeple" what would in the world makes some of these people pick G.W.? The day Obama was ignaugurated GW saddled us with a 10.626 Trillion dollar debt, and cons blame Obama for all of it. Just not true. You don't lower taxes with 2 wars going on, and hastily put together an expensive drug program. None of it paid for. Cons will disagree, but it doesn't change the fact that it is true. Go to any fact checker you want. Bushes last year, jobs were disappearing at the rate of 700,000 or more a month. He caused a RECESSION, that was on the brink of a Depression. Mind baffling at the answers that picked him. Have you no memory? Or just a selective memory.

Weather you love Obama or hate him (I personally think he is mediocore), Bush was inarguably the worst president in US history. From his dealings with the economy to Iraq to banning federal funding for stem cell research.

Lol omg. I can't believe the answers. Any one who says Bush is better is either racist or has been living under a rock. Obama ended two wars, killed public enemy number 1, lowered gas prices, brought unemployment down to 8%, saved lives with affordable health care, and much more. Bush single handedly destroyed Americas economy and started unnecessary wars. Obama isn't perfect by any means, but he's doing alright compared to when bush was president.

Everyone says Bush is better President

but

Bush started an illegal war and nearly bankrupted the country. We were lost jobs at a rate of 750 thousand a month, he is responsible for the worst economic downturn since the great depression. George W Bush is by far the worst President in the last 50 years.

Tell me Bush Again....

Obama Cleaned up George Bush mess and brought troops home

Tackled the Ebola outbreak in America, Gave Americans affordable Healthcare. The Health care system was designed to make American people have free health care like Canada but the Republican party's went against the act. Obama gave people Jobs and rebuilt the Economy.

Both have ben probably about equal in terms of success. Bush gets a bad rap for his second term while his first term was actually decent. Obama and his destruction of the economy is overstated. He's actually done an alright job. I personally like Bush more. He strikes me as a genuine man who simply did his best but his best wasn't good enough. Obama is an orator and not much else. He screams fake to me. I don't know why but I just don't trust him. Neither were great. Views of Bush and Obama are skewed I think too by the liberal media and of Bush's poor speaking skills. Personal opinion, I like Bush because I like him as a man. Neither were good presidents but Bush had a decent first term before a terrible second term. In addition I just like the guy. Obama had a ton of potential. He could have put the nation together but I feel he has just contributed to the divide between Americans. Not that you will get any rational answers on Yahoo Answers.

I'm Indian and I think Bush was better. He had the guts to take risks. I support what he did to fight terrorism especially since I'm in the aviation industry and understand what 9/11 did to the world and to aviation. We all have better security thanks to him and his government. I admire the pioneering steps the US took post 9/11, which other countries are now attempting to emulate. Bush was a memorable president.

I see the war against Iraq differently from some of the Americans. I could be talking nonsense here (but it makes sense to me), but this is what I read in an economist's newspaper column. Oil used to be traded in US dollars. If a country needed to buy oil they had to have sufficient US dollars. And how can a country afford to pay in US dollars unless they have some. But how do they get some? From exports and remittances. When Americans import goods from countries like China, US dollars flow out. Other countries work hard for their oil. US doesn't need to, if domestic oil or goods production is not enough, US simply has to print more dollars (well just sufficient so as to not destabilise the economy or flood the market) to buy oil or goods. But Saddam Hussein had threatened to start selling oil in Euros and another country had toyed with the idea of following suit. Can you imagine the effect on the US economy? The demand for the US dollar would fall. The demand for the Euro would go up. US would have to start exporting and earning in Euros. Europe would gain bargaining power while US dominance would decrease. This I believe was the real reason for the war. Whether Bush lied or not, I don't know and don't care. I believe he had America's best interests at heart.

I also believe that Obama is too careful about his image, a bit non-committal and avoids hard decisions. In such a scenario, allies tend to stop looking to the US for leadership. The world needs a strong decisive country to fight for what is right and look up to. I don't like the HHS mandate/Obamacare policy that affected the rights of religious entities like the Catholic church. If I had to remember Obama's two terms, actually there was no significant accomplishment that stands out, except maybe the terrible healthcare policy.

Obama by miles and miles.

Bush had the good will of the entire civilized world in his hands.

But, he squandered that rare moment of international solidarity (a true shot at uniting the world in a common decent cause) in order to pursue profit-seeking military action in the Middle-East and betray the values on which this nation was founded by allowing people to be tortured under a smokescreen of adjusted legal terminology.

Obama is an obstacle to the GOP's plans of undermining our Democratic Republic and handing the reigns over to the highest bidder among their well-monied corporate cronies. And, in that respect, he is worlds better than Bush (mired in some of the most corrupting influences over our government) could ever hope to be.

LOL, well, since I have to pick between these two, I guess I would pick Obama. Overall, he isn't as corrupt but still that doesn't mean I approve of what he does. And really, he isn't much better than Bush or what Romney or McCain would have been. I could be wrong and have been several times.

Obama wins as being the most deceitful lying president incapable of speaking off the cuff, but a very good TelePrompTer .obama 's monetary policy is fraught with fiscal potholes . The Government cannot provide everything to a citizen as Obama believes unless we have communism with collective misery. The racial divide has been magnified by Obsma's policies which gave failed to create economic possibilities for intercity youth. One of worst things Obama did was cancel the school voucher program in DC for disadvantaged youth. Obama made sure only rich kids attended his daughters school. Bush wins when his war was a redponse to the US being attacked not his policies

It's a race thing first off. those who hate obama. don't hate his policy. they don't even listen to the guy they just think he's a liar because he's a minority. it's that old white man hate that is dying a horrible death and the only way to combat it is to lie and say obama is trying to kill grandma when he is in fact trying to give you all free health care.

it's pathetic. i know a racist from indiana who hated the aca just because she had to pay 40. a month. if that is so terrible why not pay the fee and pay for insurance that will run your 20times that.

and lets not forget who actually sent the team that got obl. i seem to remember bush claiming (after he ignored briefs) that he would avenge NY. and did he? nope. obama did. you all should be kissing his @$$. instead you act as if the military did it despite him.

Katrina anyone?

How about the recession? Racist idiots suggest that obama had something to do with that when if i recall he wasn't elected the year the housing bubble burst. And how people bit*ch and whine about obama's wasteful spending when bush spent 250 billion dollars a month on a war that created isis is proof that only a fool would think bush is better than obama.

Bush by far. For example, yes, 9/11 was TERRIFYING. But just imagine if Obama had been President. He would have been caught with his pants down, probably on vacation, and would have not helped stopped further attacks.

Also, ObamaCare is a JOKE. It only works for the people who don't, now that's not okay.

Next, Obama is one of the main reasons for racism in America. HE LOVES WHEN PEOPLE FIGHT OVER COLOR. How come when African Americans die he speaks about how horrible white people are to them, holds press conferences about his condolences, and attends their funerals. But when an NYPD officer dies, he can't be bothered to 1.) go to their funeral or 2.) make a statement on the matter at hand.

HIS AGENDA IS SCREWED.

Obama.

Bush is the reason why people think Obama is a bad president. Simply, because when Bush was president he screwed up everything. He allowed 9/11 .... he ****** up tax brackets .... anything you name --- he ruined it.

And people expect Obama to be able to put it all together with a snap of a finger. It doesn't work like that. Obama is doing the best he can.... at the end of the day he means well.

No president will be perfect... just be glad that we have a President that has our best interest.

His skin color has nothing to do with anything... and if you think that you're racist.

Just pray our next President isn't anything like BUSH!

Bush made the biggest strategic blunder in the history of the United States by getting us into a meaningless war with Iraq costing us at over a trillion dollars (and helping creating ISIS), while also making Iran the leading power in the region in the process. It's hard to say how any other president has screwed up that badly. I am disappointed in Obama but considering our economy is somewhat on the rebound and in fact is doing better than Japan and Europe, you have to give him credit for that.

Regarding Cleo. Your post is something that could have been cut and pasted from the "move on.org" website or Obama's latest ramblings or even take your pick of any democratic "talking points" memo. I seek the truth in all things and it was proven that Saddam had and used chemical weapons of mass destruction on the Kurds and other minorities, butchered his own people, had "rape rooms" for "special treatment" for women, imprisoned and tortured small children, had lions and special dogs tear people apart, while his sons and special spectators watched in glee, had his own "torture chambers" and in my opinion was well on his way to getting a nuclear bomb. He was his own version of Adolph Hitler. George Bush was 110% justified in his invasion of Iraq to put an end to that madness. There was no telling how far that nut would have gone. We (America) never stole one drop of his "dam" oil and turned everything over in "fairly good shape" to an incompetent and irresponsible government who then proceeded to "loose" almost everything America left "almost" right with Iraq. Regarding that 911 was an inside job is almost as ridiculous as says that Martians did it.

Obama has been the worst president we have ever had since WWII. He is incompetent, irresponsible, and is well on his way to as he himself said before he became president to "fundamentally transform this country", except that in his view that means to gut the military, prevent our soldiers from being aggressive in any way and only shoot when they are being shot at, which is great way to loose a war, allow men like Putin, the Chinese and Iran, terrorists and others to walk all over us, scare us, intimidate us, and make friends with our enemies, scare away our friends in the world, and generally destroy the view of America as a powerful country full of good people who want to do good things in the world. Now sometimes yes we do make mistakes but most of the time we don't and are a force for good things in this world.

Anyone who believes the things you say in your post needs to go live on the moon or another planet somewhere because you are "out of your mind".

Anyone voting for Bush is ******* selfish, insensitive, blind and no better than a murderer. How can you like a man who sarted a WAR? A war that was responsible for over 150,000 iraqi deaths so far with about 80% being civilians. For orphaning children, widowing women and destroying homes and marring their country forever with destruction. People here seem to like Bush because he started a goddamn freaking war in retaliation for the 9/11 incident that had nothing to do with these Poor iraqi civilians. The 9/11 attacks killed 2,996 people and a total of 4,491 U.S. service members were killed in Iraq between 2003 and 2014. Now try comparing 2,996+ 4,491 to 150,000 ???

The american media did a good job exaggerating and dramatizing the situation, and making it seem like the two countries were suffering equal damage, when that is not true at all.

Bush claimed that he wanted to "End a repressive dictatorship and bring democracy to the people of Iraq." LOL SO FUNNY, OH HE DID BRING ONE THING TO THE PEOPLE OF IRAQ, DEATH AND MISERY.

and what did stealing and robbing a countries riches and oil have to do with terrorists possessing WMDs or with Saddem supoorting AL QUAEDA ?

BUSH was nothing but a WAR CRIMINAL a THIEF, and a HYPOCRITE. Anyone supporting him is no better than him. You sit on your asses behind your conputers, driving your fancy cars and eating your Mcdonalds yapping about how great Bush was, while there were kids sleeping under the sounds for bombing fearing that the roof might crumble under them. Now imagine that?
Froylan
2015-01-01 21:34:26 UTC
I know people are going to say both were terrible, but I'm going to say that Obama was better because Bush has caused the economy to collapse, and gave America unnecessary war costs and debt. Obama was left to solve these problems, and I think he did a good job because he can only do so much. The reason Obama wasn't able to keep his promises was because of an unreasonable congress. The only things I see that Obama has done for this country is that he improved the economy, ended the war in Iraq, made the decision to find and kill Osama, and Obamacare.

Definitely Obama - and if he had a congress that would work together (compromise, negotiate, etc.) even more progress could be made. What dismays me about the last, say 4 years, is the hatred and disrespect for the President that the tea party and other right wing conservatives have used to attack Obama. Even though I did not care for or agree with Bush, I would never speak about him they way people speak about Obama - I would never disrespect anyone who is willing to sacrifice their entire personal life for 4-8 years and try to make this country better. The problem with our government right now is the legislative branch, not the executive branch, but people keep on blaming Obama for everything.

Every President has done good and bad things...we are all human after all. So I couldn't say who has done more because in every economic decision that has been made, there are people who benefit and others who do not (and vice versa).

What I can say, is that as a President, one must be able to be a passionate and electrifying speaker, that's why I find that Obama is better.

Take note that the President is very much a representative, so if we judge their decision-making, we are in fact making judgements on their advisors...economic and social.

I'm going to go ahead and say Bush. Definitely. Obama makes George Bush look like a GOD.

George Bush never did anything to effect me personally & the country was a pretty okay and decent place to live. Obama has done much harm and negative towards this country that it not only effect me personally but the whole country. He managed to single handedly destroy the whole country and turn it in to some sick joke. Bush has gotten rid of more illegal immigrants than Obama. People will say the Obumer has gotten rid of more but it depends on how you look at it.

I feel neither because they are both imperfect and can not bring about lasting comfort and peace. God's here at Ecclesiates 8:9 say "Man has dominated man to his harm". Psalms 46:9 helps us to appreciate how Jehovah God himself feels about war, death and killing it says " Jehovah is bringing an end to wars throughout the earth. He breaks the bows and shatters the spear; he burns the military wagons with fire." So he hates violence and so should we. Here at Isaiah 2:4 it says, " He will render a judgment among the nations And set matters staright respecting many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshears And their spears into pruning shears. Nation will not lift up against nation, Nor will they learn war anymore. I stand for Jehovah God Almight and his Son Jesus Christ only...

Clearly that is President Obama who will go down in history as being one of the best presidents. Bush was not elected by the voters so his legitimacy as presidency will forever be questioned. Regardless, Bush is already ranked as one of the worst presidents in history and we still don't know the extent of the damage he has done. Time will tell. Therefore, Bush could easily be ranked worse than Nixon. Right now Bush is ranked one point above Nixon and that is really bad.

Are you asking lessor of two evils...lol....? Bush stole the election so I see among answers that there is some selective memory going on. There is no proof of weapons of mass destruction that was supposedly in Iraq. An unnecessary war in Iraq and now the end result is that America is hated.

Obama haters have nothing to do with him being black. It is because he has made no accomplishments. McCain though would have simply meant another eight years of "Bush".

Mitt Romney would have been the perfect choice but sadly that is now a moot point.

Bush spent billions on his lie of a war. wasted human lives. this spending ruined the economy. then he gave the taxpayers checks out of our treasury to stimulate the economy. we trusted our MBA president to do the right thing. wrong! we spiraled down the slippery slop into the Great Recession or mini Depression. Mr Obama inherited this mess. no one could change things in an instant. we are at least making some progress, something bush did not do.

In any case, he misused that uncommon snippet of worldwide solidarity (a genuine shot at uniting the world in a typical OK reason) to seek after benefit looking for military activity in the Middle-East and double-cross the qualities on which this country was established by permitting individuals to be tormented under a smokescreen of balanced legitimate wording.

Bush. He is an honorable man that was misunderstood by the liberal media. He was perceived as cocky but he was more of man of principal that stuck to his guns. People forget how evil Sadam Hussein was and how he constantly thumbed his nose at the world. Atleast Bush understood you CANNOT APPEASE Evil. You must destroy it. Obama's foreign policy is completely incoherent. So much so that Putin grabs Crimea and Russia is now more of a threat than they've been in a long time. Remember Obama telling Putin "I can be more flexible after the election"? Wow. And yes Bush spend money like a drunken soldier but no where near like what Obama has. We have grown 8 TRILLION under Obama to 18 Trillion. I think Bush increased debt 4 Trillion after 8 years if I'm not mistaken. Remember TARP? Virtually all the liberal media reported that TARP cost tax payers 60 Billion or whatever and NONE reported that when TARP just ended last month we made 15 Billion. How about race relations? Far worse under Obama. Fast and Furious anyone?. Most transparent administration? yeah right. Gitmo still open. As well as it should be. If Obama was better than Bush, why did virtually EVERY Politician run from Obama in the last election when the Demoncrats got ROLLED? Bush's popularity is increasing and Obama's numbers are sagging. We spilled a great deal of blood and treasure in the war in Iraq and Obama all but gave it away to ISIS. Our relation ship with Israel is worth but it's better with Iran and Cuba. Bush hands down was a better President.

-ACA(Obamacare), millions of formerly uninsured Americans have coverage and can't be denied for preexisting conditions

-57 straight months of job growth

-Unemployment rate is below 6% unlike the stagnant rate under Bush.

-Issued the go ahead order for Operation Neptune Spear

-DOW Jones is doing well

Im going to say this simply; Obama is the better president. Although we may not like his healthcare program and tax policies, Bush caused SEVERE harm to this country. We cannot expect one man (Obama) to fix everything in two terms. Not only is Obama a better speaker and classy, he is intelligent. Bush was none of those things.

For the people that are picking bush, why!!!. Bush was a awful president he took us into a war that for one thing congress said no to but he done it anyway. He blamed iraq on 9/11 and they didn't even do it. He bankrupt the united states treasury and put us in massive debt. He also lost 500,000 private sector jobs and millions of other jobs with that he is far from the best president. He wanted to privatise anything he could and give tax breaks to the top 1%. I will say obama has not been a great president be he has been much better than bush and part of the reason he hasen't done alot is because we won't et he, we blame anything we can on him. We wanted healthcare, gay rights and we got them he was the first president to say that he accepted gay marriage and he also droped unemployment from 8% to 5% so the next time you say bush was a better president think real hard before you say it because you are far from right.

Bush started a pointless war in the Middle East and introduced policies which led to the economic meltdown in 2008.

Obama has tried to pull America out of its mess. He kept the Great Recession from turning into another Great Depression, but that's about all he's been able to really accomplish. His health care reform has produced uneven results and he has blown hot and cold air with foreign policy.

Neither one is good. Obama is a man trained in classical communism. Bush is progressive (which equals pro-socialists when you remove the pretty sounding "progressive" terminology). Sadly, Bush, was Obama's "John the Baptist" (that is, a forerunner to prepare the way). However, some still blame Bush for the war that he undertook. People sometimes just don't pay any attention. If they'd recall, the Clinton's had the same data Bush had. People I knew that served over there did indeed guard weapons of mass destruction (but liberals changed the meaning to only nuclear WOMD but this soldier and others guarded nerve gas cylinders...enough to wipe out many, many cities). So, I don't pick bones with Bush over that issue as it is misrepresented in the media. Bush has enough pro-socialism in him to be concerned over rather than to get down on him for silly issues that are lied about.

Bush -- Bush is hampered by being a recovering alcoholic AND a Christian. These type of people tend to believe that you MUST be a good, honest person and NOT judge others. Note how Bush never directly blamed Clinton(s) for things (like missing keyboard keys among other items), but Barack constantly does blame Bush. Bush even called Hillary and Barack into his office before the elections to tell them the (secret) Truths about some of the terrorist organizations. (Do you remember that? Back when both were critical of Bush's take on terrorism?) He was telling them things and showing them items that confirmed his assessment of terrorists events. While Bush wouldn't always defend himself (remember, ex-alcoholic Christians believe God judges all men for their actions and lies, men do not), Barack is quick to assign blame to Bush when all other dodges fail.

Bush is honestly the better man AND better president. Crap, he was (almost) even the first person to say that not Muslims were terrorists. (Remember that?)

Bush is better.

Obama by far. Let us start by actually looking at the record of both. When it comes to Bush, you could grant that he did some positives like AIDS research in Africa, raising the minimum wage, and even passing laws against human trafficking. But on the negative, 9/11 happened on his watch(which he received repeated warnings of "bin laden determined to strike"). He invaded Iraq on total falsehoods of weapons of mass destruction which were never there(and violated international law) which has totally destabilized the region and led to the phenomenon of ISIS. He blew open the debt and the deficit, leaving a 1 trillion dollar annual deficit. He signed things like the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions act which are serious blows to the Constitution. He opened Guantanomo and approved of waterboarding. You had Abu Ghraib. You had the Katrina Crisis in 05 and his total mishandling of that. You had the massive Economic crisis in 2008, and the general fact that America's standing in the world was greatly reduced during his tenure.

When it comes to Obama, there are legitimate criticisms to be made of his presidency as well. He tripled the amount of Drone Attacks from the Bush Presidency, which has killed civilians and violates the Geneva Conventions. He has used the espionage more than any other president combined to crack down on whistleblowers(and even supenoea reporters). He has continued the surveillance policies of the Bush Era. The intervention in Libya was a total mistake and initially sending more troops to Afghanistan was a waste of lives and treasure.

At the same time, Obama does have many accomplishments as well. He turned the worst economic crisis since the great depression around in less that six years(Unemployment down to 5.8% from 10 % and major job losses of 750,000 a month turned around to 300,000 jobs grown a month). He has manage to cut the deficit from 1.4 trillion annually to 300 billion dollars. His Health Care reforms have been successful in cutting the uninsurance rate from 21% to 11% according to recent statistics. He has championed LGBT rights passing the Matthew Shepard Hate Crime Bill and Repealing Don't Ask Don't Tell. He passed Dodd Frank placing the largest consumer protection agency since the 1930's. He has championed Climate Change efforts through his recent bilateral agreements with China, pushing the UN Climate development fund, as well as the Paris Talks. And he has recently normalized America's 50 yr frozen relationship with Cuba.

So overally, Obama is much better than Bush.

George Dubya Bush had the guts and determination to invade Iraq even when the world condemned him for it. Iraq needed to be conquered because Saddam was a threat. If he had ever managed to gain the money, weapons, the logistical ability to cross oceans and a competent military he might have destroyed us if Bush had not had the courage to act. Sure he didn't actually have nuclear weapons but he wanted to have them and that's bad enough. The threat was obvious and despite whiny cowards who opposed us invading countries without some old fashioned act of war, Dubya knew it had to be done. He also authorized torture which libs think is mean but a real man knows that it gets results. Terrorist spill their guts to us no matter how hard they think they are. When you ram a cattle prod up some scum bags but till it chokes them and then leave it on for a day or two they tell us everything they know. And psychology has proven that people who are tortured cannot lie or evade. They tells us plans they didn't even know they knew about and they admit their wrong doings and are genuinely sorry. Only Bush had the guts to break out the blades and tongs and make terrorist scream for their mothers.

George also had the guts to lower taxes and keep them low even when he was leading America into to not one but two wars and even when the tax base was gutted by a massive housing devaluation. He had the wisdom to resist some knee jerk reaction against our loyal bankers when they accidentally caused a minor world recession. Only a handful of countries were nearly destroyed and lesser presidents might have made our bankers into fall guys but George protected their bonuses and made sure that they could ride out the crashing and burning in style and even often come out a few billion ahead. His forethought and wise restraint is the only reason we still have thousands of billionaires who may someday create jobs here when they get bored of counting their countless piles of cash.

Thank God we had George Bush and Dick Cheney at the helm when things got tough.

The answer depends on how you measure. Neither has been good, or bad. I prefer Bush over Obama. Like vosha81 said, Bush comes across as sincere. Obama is the better speaker. Bush to me tried to unite, while Obama wants to divide. There is blame for the economy on both. Perhaps one could study Harry Dent or Robert Kiyosaki. Demographics play a huge part in the current downturn. As the baby boomers retire and eventually die, a massive block of population comes out of the marketplace. As the marketplace contracts, fewer jobs, less housing needs, less cars, etc. The economy was/is destined to suffer or collapse. Add to this, the on and off book debt that America and Americans have, it could get ugly.

It's a matter of perspective - and political party affiliation. If you're a Republican, you're obviously more likely to answer "Bush"; if you're a Democrat, you're more likely to say "Obama".

Did Bush get things done? Hell yeah. But the question is whether or not the "progress" Bush made was beneficial to our nation. In my opinion, giving corporations tax breaks and supporting environment-killing practices and industries - especially big oil - doesn't improve America at all.

Obama has a hard time getting things done, but this can be heavily attributed to the fact that the Republicans control Congress. When the president belongs to one party and Congress is dominated by another, progress faces major obstacles. Yet, in spite of this impediment, Obama has accomplished feats. The Affordable Care Act provides affordable health care for all of us - even though the Republicans caused the government shutdown in an attempt to prevent the act from passing. Furthermore, Obama is making efforts to protect the environment and opposes giving corporations too much power. All in all, I believe that Obama is a better president by a long shot.

American presidents will not get anywhere until they remove the yoke of Israel and the Jewish lobby from around their necks but that would mean that they do not get elected, yet that is the state of the good old USA, down the pan of despair with the flush of the toilet.

I always liked George Dubya mainly because he was honest and seems to live by the Socratic rule of knowing that you know nothing.

Liking someone does not mean they get my vote - no sir.

What do I have in common with George W Bush? He is a Methodist and so am I. But there it stops. I'm somewhere left of centre - a bit.

But I'll say this of the Republicans, their party was founded for the express purpose of ridding America of slavery once and for all - yes, a group of abolitionists in fact, including Abe Lincoln.

George Bush was better, by an order of magnitude. He had policies which were designed to better the country, and protect American citizens. Obama's policies are designed to be an apology to the rest of the world, and to lower the United States a few notches on the world stage, which is a profoundly stupid and misguided policy. Obama has broken laws, constantly lies to the American people, disregards the letter and intent of the Constitution, stonewalls and blocks investigations into wrongdoing, protects his appointees when they break the law, and ignores the will of the people. He is the most extreme leftist to ever hold the office, his policies undermine the rule of law, and now he has even been stoking the flames of the racial divide by associating with the racist criminal Al Sharpton (Who owes over three million dollars in taxes.) Obama, by constantly showing weakness, and embracing a policy of appeasement and apology, has done more damage to world peace than all his predecessors combined. (Bowing to leaders of other countries, offering concessions to our enemies for nothing in return, withdrawing our military from Iraq without a Status of Forces agreement, negotiating with terrorists, the Cairo speech, snubbing our allies. This administration has also embraced an EXTREMELY dangerous policy of going after journalists who are critical of their rogue regime. I could go on, but I don't want to depress anyone, since we still have two years to go!

-he was hated more than ever while in office

As a non-US citizen it's maybe OK to give an outsider's view.

Seen from abroad Obama would have been a better President if he had been blessed with a sane Senate and Congress. Bush got the entire West into an unnecessary war in Iraq and may be reckoned to have kicked of the whole ISIS thing. Obama has struggled to bring about necessary reforms both at home and abroad due to a polarised Congress and Senate. The GOP is held hostage by the vociferous Tea Party and is afraid to work on a bipartisan basis for fear of deselection and we may be in for a 3rd Bush.

The short answer is Obama - obviously.

It is very hard to say who was a better president. G.W. Bush caused a lot of damage to our country and other countries. Lots of young men were killed during the wars he started. It takes only a few seconds for something to fall, and years to build again. While I think Bush did much damage, Obama tried to do good but just failed at fixing the mess. I would like to say Obama was a better President, but he really didnt do any damage or do much good. They both are failures, Bush more than Obama. So, Obama wins as better.

Jeremiah 10:23: "I well know, O Jehovah, that man’s way does not belong to him. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step."

Just as humans were not created to fly successfully on their own strength, so they were not created to rule successfully by themselves. Speaking about the limits of government, historian David Fromkin noted: “Governments are composed of human beings; therefore they are fallible and their prospects are uncertain. They exercise a certain power, but only a limited one.” (The Question of Government) No wonder the Bible warns us not to put our trust in man!—Psalm 146:3.

This scripture has nothing to do with just these two individuals. Governments that are put in place has a sole objective, to draw as many individuals as possible AWAY from the True God. Many of us would consider ourselves Christians, but how many of you really understand that term. Because to understand that term would mean understanding what Christ did in relation to politics.

What was Jesus political party? Do you remember? Was he a democrat, republican, independent? Was he to the left or to the right? Here is our answer, in...

Because they follow Jesus’ example. He said about himself: “I am no part of the world.” Regarding his followers, he stated: “You are no part of the world.” (John 15:19; 17:14)

In conjunction with John 15:19, The term “world” here refers to human society alienated from God. (Ephesians 4:17-19; 1 John 5:19) We are separate from the world in that we shun attitudes, speech, and conduct that offend Jehovah. (1 John 2:15-17) Moreover, in harmony with the principle that “bad associations spoil useful habits,” we avoid intimacy with those who do not live by Christian standards. (1 Corinthians 15:33)

How many do you know in the world of politics that are corrupt, have bad morals? From adultery to pedophilia. Now you may say that not all politicians are that way and you are right. However, when was the last time a political leader told you to vote for God's Kingdom, not ours? When was the last time a political leader said for married men to love their wives and to cherish and to honor them? When was the last time that a political leader told you to follow Jesus example and preach the good news from house to house and from door to door? When was the last time that a political leader told you to lead your life by Bible principles and follow the example of Jesus Christ and refrain from politics?

Think about it, no matter who enters/leaves political office, crime, war, suffering, greed, extortion, adultery, world hunger, racism, etc. still exists. So, what is it that we look for when individuals put their trust in these imperfect leaders that are supposed to be by your side, only to come up empty in their major promises.

Little do people know that the forces at work in the political world are all led by the wicked one, Satan the Devil.

Something to think about.

To those idiots still clinging to the propaganda that the Iraq War was illegal, do any of you remember The Iraq Resolution? Bush (unlike Obama) did not act unilaterally. He took it to congress and put it to a vote and both houses voted in favor of the Iraq invasion including democrats like (are you listening?) Joe Biden, Hilary Clinton, John Kerry, Harry Reid and Diane Feinstein among many, many others. So either blame your own party too or shut your pie holes. Nobody likes a hypocrite.

President Bush who was a true president.

Obama is a traitor and wants to be a dictator.

He has been systematically taking down our great nation by stealing our freedoms. His ideas for our society have been to force those who are not corrupt like he is to accept evil as good and for us to embrace his unholy stand for smut and hate to be come common place in our country. Calling our country anything but Godly. He is the most ungodly and insane man we have ever had a president. Abraham Lincoln is probably rolling in his grave with the things Obama has been trying to do to destroy our great nation

He is an alien not a citizen who hates America. This has all been proved.

You better wake up our world is nothing like it was 10 yrs ago and it can only get worse with the unholy trio that is ruling our country now. Obama has placed Muslims in our government. No other President would have wanted the enemy in our government. He and Hilary are corrupt individuals that need to be prayed out of office of any kind.

Obama is the better of the two by lightyears. One of his biggest problems of getting things done is the congress that refuse to let a black man be a good president. Congress blocks much of the good Obama is wanting to do simply because he is a black man. Obama is trying to equalize where the money is - too much is in the hands of too few. Obama is also looking out for the poor and less fortunate with health care.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Obama is perfect, not by a long shot. I don't agree with his agenda on the illegals and according to his health care I should be able to pay more than $200 per month and have a deductible of over $3100 per year - hahahahahah, no I can't nearly afford that. I'm currently not even making ends meet from my paychecks - a credit card is caring me over as I go deeper into debt each pay period.

No one after Clinton counts as an actual president. So the Older Bush because Obama and the new Bush don't meet the qualifications to be counted in such a comparison.

Maybe if you put the title they had like, president of jelly of the month club. Or something they actually were qualified to run.

Do your research. Obama is doing a much better job than Bush has ever done. He has been trying to forge peace with other countries, he's improved the economy and created jobs for the jobless. And it doesn't matter whether the Bush family was friends with Bin Laden or not, Obama made sure he was taken out of the picture. The stock market has hit record highs also.

Republicans have voted against anything that Obama has proposed so they are a bunch of cry babies who will never do anything to help the poor working man. Minimum wage just went up for many states so that will help.

Republicans are for their rich contributors and that is what they will always work to help is the rich in this country. They pay fewer taxes than anyone. Still many rich company owners are moving their businesses out of the country to avoid paying taxes. I say do not import their goods to this country then they will find out how fast they will go broke.

People we have got to start buying American and put these foreign companies out of business. Our economy suffers when we buy their goods.

All in all President Obama has been the best president in years and I support him 100%.

I felt so bad for what Obama had to pick up after Bush left our country in massive debt and

destruction. A war that he and his cronies made mega bucks from. After Clinton, Bush doled

out the leftover revenues...at least $200 to every taxpayer...and then took our country into two

wars that left us devastated and broke !! And let's just say...$$$$ can buy Presidents and also

all the non-working Representatives and Congress-people that we elect !!! Time for a change..

Obama has ordered more drone strikes than any president in the world. He escalated the war in iraq. Is responsible for the killing of Thousand of civilians. He also openly lied to the american people about Obamacare. Even the architect of Obama Care admits he lied to the public.

I think Vladimir Putin put it best: "Negotiating with Obama is like playing chess with a pigeon. He knocks over all the pieces, craps on the board, and then struts around like he has won."

Bush... I would have loved to witnessed those "closed doors meetings." Probably something like Michael Corlenoe in The Godfather when he told his brother Tom he was out. "I need a war-time consulary."

But forget about Bush, we could not be worse off if we had picked the "long straw" from White House visitors and let the winners be president for-a-day over Obama's eight year period. Electing a "narcissistic community organizer" with a big FAT ZERO on his resume and then listen to him fill in that void by saying: "It's all about me." He wins and states: "The oceans have begun to recede. The planet has has begun to heal."

Patsy Cline's song, Crazy (for loving you), fits well. Love-sick fools done let this idiot in. Maybe we can all stay home, get stoned and play video games cause dem money mo-sheens be printin just fine.

Grubber had it right, (and I'll bet you a dollar to a doughnut that the 95% who disagree with me don't know who Grubber is); Americans are stupid and proved it in 08 and 12. Obama makes Richard Nixon look like a Boy Scout. The man could get caught on video having have sex with a goat on the White House lawn and nothing would happen. Not to this President... He is special...

In 16,, Americans will prove their stupidity once again by electing Monica Lewinsky's ex-boy's wife for President. Odds are against our nation lasting anywhere near as long as the Roman Empire. I sure do wish it wasn't winter... I hate fishing in cold weather.

OBAMO, OBAMO, OBAMO a MILLION times, he is the best president we have ever had; unlike Bush who contributed to so much pollution and mess to America; leaving it all to Obamo to clear up and can I just say: Obamo is doing a darn good job of clearing that mess up. Bush is one of the worst presidents that we have EVER had. Obama is constantly fighting against gun laws, so that ridiculous things don't happen like a 2 year old shooting down his mother in Walmart (by accident) and the school shootings. Bush, on the contrary, ENCOURAGED guns, and if it wasn't for him, AMERICA WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE. He made 9/11 seem huge, but WHAT DID HE DO ABOUT IT?

Well, the retired generation and working generation were flipped out that Bush got us in $1T debt and that my generation and younger will have to pay for it. That is true. Obama took that $1T debt that Bush left us in and he promissed to get us out of and mulitplied that by 20. Now we are in nearly $20T debt and he is playing golf and hiking in Hawaii while people across the country are killing police and lighting cities on fire. People were flipping out that Bush finished a a book to little kids in a classroom when 9/11 happened. I commend that he kept his cool and didn't let the little kids see fear in our president. After he finished the story it was straight war time and strictly business. But, hiking around waterfalls in a tropical paradise and playing golf and cancelling weddings so you can play your golf game while the country is in uproar and driving our debt 20x more than it was already in when you got in office. I have to hand it to Bush.

Hey Republicans. You're allowed to admit that some of your politicians are losers. I'm neither Republican nor Democrat (why do we only have 2 parties, by the way? Does that seem like a good idea?), so I can step back and look at the individuals. Bush was a moron - a fake cowboy frat boy whose daddy got him The Big Job. He allowed his staff to run roughshod over the Constitution, civil rights and the environment. I'm not sure why someone would defend a President like that. Obama is ineffectual (mostly because of the bizarre racism that still exists in this country, whether you want to admit it or not), but the guy's not an idiot like Bush, nor is he destructive like Bush. Answer seems pretty clear. OK, remember, when you reply, don't think for yourself or say something intelligent or original - just pile on with your Rush and Bill and Dennis quotes! Be sure to get in plenty of mentions of Communists and Muslims and Socialists and Nazis!

Obama did the best he could to clean up bush's mess but never ever will a president meet the standards of the people. Try looking at the glass half full instead of half empty Obama did a decent job better the bush anyway.

Here are 12 reasons why Obama is one of the best presidents ever:

He is for The People. Say what you will about Barack Obama, but unlike the many presidents who preceded him, he cares about what is best for the greater good. He truly does represent The People. His actions have always been motivated by a sincere desire to do what is best for the majority, even if it meant losing ground with the wealthy, influential or powerful minority.

He is for civil rights. He has consistently spoken on behalf of the disenfranchised, the underdog and the most controversial members of society -despite the fact that it was politically unpopular to do so at the time. His outspoken support of gay marriage is an excellent example. Gay marriage is, and has always been, a legal and civil rights issue -not a moral one as conservatives would have you believe. Obama's open support of gay marriage speaks to his core values and his inherent belief that there truly should be justice for all.

He is for one race -the human race. In just a few short years, Obama's professional achievements and continued demonstration of equality and integrity have done wonders for race relations. America has never been more unified as a people than it has been under the direct leadership of Barack Obama. Finally, the racial lines that have divided blacks and whites for decades seem to be narrowing.

He is for a healthcare system that brings hope and healing to the hurting. Obama's healthcare plan has allowed uninsured Americans to reap the benefits of a universal healthcare system. A suffering child should never be turned away because his or her mother doesn't have health insurance. To deny medical assistance to people who desperately need it is barbaric. Obama's health care plan has placed America among the world's greatest superpowers who demonstrate care and compassion toward its constituents with healthcare that serves all.

He is for the middle class. Here are just a few of the comments made by President Barack Obama in recent months: "Rebuilding our economy starts with strengthening the middle class. Extending tax breaks on 98 percent of families now would give hardworking Americans the security and confidence they need." In July 2012, during a visit to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he said, "The vision of a strong middle class is what we're fighting for. What we need is somebody who's going to fight every single day to grow the middle class because that's how our economy grows, from the middle out, from the bottom up, where everybody has got a shot. That's how the economy grows." Enough said.

He is for women's rights. Obama's very first executive action as President was to sign the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, a bill specifically designed to annihilate wage discrimination barriers for women. He also fully funded the Violence Against Women Act, which addresses the criminality of sexual assault and domestic violence and provides women with the services needed to overcome such atrocities. President Obama nominated two women to the Supreme Court, including the first Latina justice in American history. Furthermore, Obama has taken exceptional measures to secure grant money for women business owners and get them a fair shake from the Small Business Association.

He is for doing away with pomp and circumstance. Let's be real -Obama is one cool cat. As the 44th president of the United States, he has changed the face of the Oval Office forever. Many suggest Obama's casual demeanor and informal interaction with the American people is inappropriate, and even downright offensive. Millions of people, however -me included -perceive his relaxed deportment, humorous candor and outright honesty as a breath of fresh air. In spite of the fact that he is a politician, and the president, there is something about him that makes him real and relatable. Even though he is the most powerful man in the world, he is, at heart, just a man. In almost four years under perhaps the most intense public scrutiny ever placed upon an American president, he has never lost sight of the fact that he bleeds red, just like everyone else.

He is for the environment. President Barack Obama has taken a forward thinking approach to creating a red, white, blue and green America. His policies and initiatives for a clean energy economy have had an incredible impact on the future of the nation. For instance, the U.S. reduced oil imports by more than 10 percent from 2010 - 2011. That's more than 1 million barrels a day. The Administration continues to seek ways to reduce America's dependence on oil, promote efficient energy and invest in clean energy practices. Read more about Obama's environmental strategies here

If you ask yourself what President was better or worse, you must ask yourself if you have a brain tumor or not!

The President is the biggest form if a Lie, and people believe in them only because they vote, which people have been doing for the LONGEST time, and yet it does not do anything. They keep telling you, you must vote, you must vote bla bla, yet it never changes anything.

War continues, the rich become richer, the poor become poorer, more rights are taken away, your future and children will be buried with more debt so politicians can cover their butts.

You Americans are so stupid in believing in a President. The only "Change" that will occur is when the Nation as a whole stands up and stops labeling each other with "Black, White" or "Christian and Muslim".

both are equal dumb, they were both are the worst president for America... Obama now screw up with the illegal immigrants and bush after voting for him we saw the worst terrorist attack in United States history. We can’t forget about the Iraq War and all of the weapons of mass destruction that we didn’t find. It’s okay though, right? Only 4,487 Americans died fighting a war that was based on lies. The most since the Vietnam War.Then don’t forget about the scandals like Abu Ghraib, Hurricane Katrina, the outing of a CIA official, veterans neglected at the Walter Reed hospital, Medicare Part D and a host of other scandals that plagued the Bush administration’s eight years. just as Bush was leaving office. That summer, just before the entire economy officially collapsed, oil had hit its all-time high of $147 per barrel (right now it fluctuates between $95-105 on average throughout the year). While gas prices aren’t cheap now, our country had never seen prices well over $4 per gallon like most of the country experienced that summer. Then in september jobs had fell every month, (about 2.6 million) The worst annual loss of jobs since 1945. But don't forget about Obama. He was really unprepared to become a president. There was nothing about Barack Obama’s background that should have led anyone to think that he would be up to the job of being President and as it turns out, he isn’t. He never run a business, never was a Governor, and only had a taste when he was state senator but short time being. His aims are ideological and political, not practical: Barack Obama’s only concerns are…A) Is this good for me? B) Is this good for the Democrat Party? C) Is this good for liberalism? Whether it’s good for the country or not doesn’t even enter into the equation perhaps because Obama starts with the assumption that anything that’s good for him, the Democrat Party, and for liberalism must be good for the country by default. Sadly, the long line of broken promises, mishaps, and disasters that have defined his presidency say otherwise. Another he donsn't know how to work with congress, Obama’s standard modus operandi is to propose something he knows Republicans will oppose, then trash them non-stop, refuse to meet with them, and cap it all off by complaining that they won’t work with him on anything. That’s not exactly a big secret, but a lot of people don’t know that Obama doesn’t work that well with congressional Democrats either. He really doesn't keep his word, and he simply doesn't think things through completely, and since he can't keep his word he really dishonest. Which is a real bad thing if your president. SO overall they both bad, and turn america for the worst.

I say Obama but I'm not his biggest fan right now. I voted for Obama both times only because I thought he would bring change and he sure did. I don't particularly like that he had no experience in politics but he's doing better than Bush. NO MORE BUSH'S PLEASE! They are saying Jeb Bush might run, BLAH! And why I chose neither is because I think Obama could have done without the Obamacare Plan and this new thing with Cuba. Bush brought war and 9/11 knocking on our doors. If you read and watch enough you'll know that he really was friends with Osama Bin Laden. Before 9/11 he had heard warnings about someone attacking the U.S. and he ignored the warnings. Both Bush's put left us with debt that's hard to handle.

Obama, inexperienced came in stepped up to each challenge and kept on making changes. Congress kept on going against Obama but he kept on pushing back.

Obama: he has worked hard to fix the country and fix the economy which Bush nearly bankrupted with his unfounded war. He has made the lives of ordinary, working class Americans better. He has worked to create peace, and even though he was speaking about military intervention in Syria, I believe that was from a moral perspective, than anything else. And he has improved America's standing in the world, recognising that as the world's most powerful nation, it has a responsibility to the rest of us, whereas Bush and his hawks were just out for themselves.

Bush should never have been elected and wouldn't have been if the truth was out . And he should be in prison today for war crimes, lies and abuse of power. He was a painful joke from day 1 and embarrassed himself daily.

Obama is a career politician. He is not very good at coalition and persuasion. He is honest and intelligent. He doesn't make up words for ideas he can't express. He has made mistakes, but he hasn't gotten INTO any wars with lies and abuse of power. His family aren't a bunch of inbred drunks, either.

Obama is an INCREDIBLE president, especially for what he was forced to deal with in the beginning of his presidency. It seems to me that Obama is for the American people. He seems to genuinely want equality, economic prosperity, and as much peach as he can muster. The reason why people think he isn't a great president is because of horrible Republicans in congress.

For example, did anyone hear about the equal pay act Obama tried to pass?

No, because it was voted down by Republicans.

A FRIGGING EQUAL PAY ACT.

Republicans do everything in their power to make Obama look bad so the next president who gets voted in will be a Republican who can manipulate the government into funding private corporations.

I mean, hell, did you see the selling point of the Republican party in the midterms?

IT WAS THE KEYSTONE PIPELINE. WHICH HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. OR GOVERNMENT, FOR THAT MATTER. Republicans are money-driven morons. Case in point. Obama is a boss.
