Why is it not okay to make an anti muslim movie but okay to make an anti christian movie?

democrats, why is this okay? Take the following movies for example

Angels and Demons
Jesus Christ Superstar
The Passion of Christ
Dogma

In the movie 2012, they destroyed many buildings that are precious to Christians but never destroyed one that were precious to Muslims. They stated they did not want to upset Muslims.
Isn't this hypocritical? If Islam is off limits shouldn't all religions be off limits? Doesn't this impede on our freedom of speech in this country?

The different followers of each religion take things differently. While an anti-Christian film may enrage some of the serious followers, the majority of the groups would not cause such a big fuss. Mohammad is very sacred to Muslims (many stop to pray, wherever they are, towards their holy city), and their religion plays a huge roles in their daily lives.



Their attack on the U.S. embassies and riots are fueled by hatred for other reasons as well, the film just gave them a sound reason to partake in such activities.

Christians used to kill people for blasphemy and heresy, just like the Muslims do today. But now Christians lost their political power, so they've decided to 'turn the other cheek'. I know that a lot of Christians don't react to even the most extreme insults to their religion. Overall, it's worked out better that way for everybody.

Muslims riot and murder people when a hate movie is made about them, as we've seen.



Christians do not.



It is not morally correct to make a hate movie about any group, but people can only be made to care about something when there are repercussions. This is why Muslims riot. If they wouldn't, the West would treat their religion with the same respect it treats others. Christians do not think respect is worth killing over, so the anti- Christian movies do not receive attention.



The question you may be trying to articulate is: If offending a group is wrong, shouldn't it be wrong for all groups? If it is not, isn't failing to protect an (admittedly repulsive) person's right to free speech because of threats of random violence the very definition of caving to terrorism?

No one ever said it is not OK to make an anti Muslim movie in fact someone just did. Islam is a newer religion the Muslims of today are much like the Christians of 500 years ago.

For starters:



A- Muslims don't make anti-christian movies, videos or books - it's a FACT.

B- Muslims did not protest over an anti-muslim movie, some very few did.

C- Those few that did, did not protest over the film per se, the movie just added to a chain of many other reasons they see are offences against them(the major one is the US vetos against palestine independence).



If someone goes out and says lies about you to portray you badly in the commuity or made an ugly story about you resulting in you losing all your friends the next day and even family members start to distance themselves away from you .



Suppose you throw a pillow against the wall as an instinctive reaction to frustration or couldn't control your anger and slapped his/her face, would you care if someonce calls you "violent" and "uncivilzed" afterwards?



Point is:

IF someone thinks it is okay to deliberately anger others by degrading their most cheriched thing with lies, what is to stop the targeted group from thinking it is okay to do whatever in response.



The response is always crazier and bigger, here are 2 examples:



When the US was attaked on 9/11, it attacked iraq and afghanistan where millions of innocent people died. The first nightly strikes operation on Iraq was called "Shock and Awe" . Some right wing channels even put music to play and fancy colors as the missles of death were raining and tearing every living thing into thousands of charcoaled lifieless pieces. And if you saw it on tv, it did not dinstinguish the army from civilians, hell was let loose over the crowded city of Baghdad at night. Now bear in mind, none of the 9/11 plane hijackers were from iraq.



When United states was attacked on Pearl Harbor, they brought the war to Japanese for years to come. Even when Japan was clearly defeated and destroyed, they decided to drop nukes on Hirochima and Nakazi just to impress one man - the Japanese emperor at that time.



The human anger is uncontrollable, people are hurt and die of stupid things everyday.These things ar taken for granted we don't even care about them anymore:

A woman killed her husband out of rage for sleeping with another woman...

A poor guy went to steal something to eat but got chased and shot...

A businessman conspire to kill his competitor...



Regardless of all this negatif stuff, by far humanity is enjoying the brightest of its times compared to just few decades ago.
