You have to consider the context of the times. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTLBFwtfp7M

Even when I was 5 years old, I knew that cartoons didn't represent reality and that cartoon violence was sort of a comical form of catharsis.. I think the cartoonized violence of Looney Tunes actually is a great method to help young children adjust and help them differentiate between fantasy and reality.. It's pure genius.. but the hyper reality of today's children media.. something like "transformers" for example.. it is a lot harder to differentiate between fantasy and reality.. so it doesn't have that pro - adjustment factor that Looney Tunes had.

ur right but the cartoons are targeted to a younger audience then what the video games are targeted too. It's just the parents responsibility to make sure they follow the guide lines (grand theft auto shouldn't be for younger kids)

As an MBA student, I have often wondered the same thing. I think more than anything, these are marketing schemes. If they can sell it, they will continue to do it. If not, then the companies will have to resort to other measures to get attention from the public in order to make a sell.

Thank you.... That's all I'm saying.

I'm an adult and if I want to play GTA, that's on me. But parents who let kids play that and then think getting overly PC about Bugs Bunny is okay.... that's just idiocy.
