Why, when bush & Dick bold face lie to start a war and fill the pockets of the war profiteers with BILLIONS of our tax $s and kill over 750,000 inocent Iraqis + over 4000 of our troops, The press all but ignores the sworn testimony of those brave enough to expose these criminals?

Yes, to an extent. Now I think its more a matter of them having towed the line when it counted that the country is densensitized to just about anything they could hear.

But when they really dropped the ball was the iraq war. Its almost unbelievable. I mean, I watched it myself... but its unbelievable to think back upon, just how in the bag the press was in fear of being labelled unpatriotic after 911 and being run out of business. I can't believe some of these people are still on mainstream television. How they justify it to themselves...

Regardless of what you think of the war, clearly the reasons Bush went in were not sincere, he literally did use 911 to mislead the public into supporting a war that had nothing to do with it. How do journalists live with themselves?

At this point they're obviously doing a better job, but they can't fix the problem they created. That they towed the line in the first place so now the national debate is forever framed as "is it right is it wrong". If the press treated Nixon like they treated bush on the iraq war... history would be different..

The current administration owns the corporate media.

The administration of President George W. Bush is corrupt and appalling. President George W. Bush is a tyrant that controls the land of the free and steps over the will of the people. President Bush is an Oil man who has no interest what so ever in freedom and prosperity for all but rather for a few, he has used the media and entertainment as a tool to control the masses.

If you look at western society its main ideology is Materialism and uses the economic system of Capitalism. So everything you do and everything everyone else does is based on one thing. That is money in this society time is money. This especially means in the political and economic world.

IA. Halliburton Charged with Selling Nuclear Technologies to Iran

Halliburton and Iran-based "Oriental Oil Kish" had business dealings concerning nuclear energy. Halliburton sold key components for a nuclear reactor to an Iranian oil development company. These business deals were as early as January 2005. Halliburton than bribed Cyrus Nasseri, the vice chairman of the board of directors $1 Million for Iranian nuclear secrets.

Why would this information never make it to national TV? Mr. Cheney owns Halliburton or at least has deep pockets with them and this would hurt political agenda of Bush Administration. So Bush calls up his mass media corporation connections to make sure the public never knows about Halliburton (US Company) doing business with "Oriental Oil Kish"(State-Sponsored Terrorist Country Iran).

A CEO, a hard paintings Union chief, and a center administration representative met sometime to paintings out some corporation disputes. there grew to become right into a field of cookies on the table and the CEO today took 11 of the dozen, then he turns to one in all the different adult adult males and whispers, "whats up that guy is making an attempt to take 0.5 of YOUR cookie". as long as a rustic complacently accepts that heartless firms are human beings. Then the folk do no longer stand a gamble.

1) Good question. If it is a lie, why won't they report it? LOL

2) Having any financial interest in ANYTHING is illegal when sitting as or even running for president...

SO! If you have some proof of this, I suggest you turn it over... because the press and the Democrats have been looking for the proof for almost 6 years... to no avail.

There are only 2 possibilities. Either there is no proof, because it hasn't happened... Or G.W. Bush is the smartest president in U.S. history and has been able to hide this!

Which is it?

I absolutely hate the press. They rarely report but they editorialize, give their opinions, sell their agenda. We have very little truth, but lots of viewpoint. Lets get back to reporting the facts, the news, and whats happening and stop slanting it either right or left...how bout down the middle for a change.

The present Billionaire press (which the right wing is STILL calling the Liberal Media) needs to be investigated in Congress - then seized and sold at auction.

Removing Saddam saved lives.

While Saddam starved to death children, he spent billions of dollars on palaces that included gold faucets. And instead of using plumbing equipment to purify water, he made lakes and waterfalls for himself.

U.N. website:

(4 months before the opening attack on Saddam (November 2002))

"Despite improvements there are still close to one million children under the age of five suffering from chronic malnutrition in Iraq today - that's nearly a quarter of all children of that age," said Mr. Carel de Rooy, the head of UNICEF in Iraq. "This is unacceptable. More still needs to be done to end the suffering of a generation of children."

http://www.unicef.org/newsline/02pr63iraq.htm

U.N. website

1996:

"It is estimated that 500,000 Iraqi children have died because of the non-compliance of the Iraqi Government with [United Nations] Security Council resolutions 706 (1991), 712 (1991) and 986 (1995) since the end of the Gulf War. "

In simply falling in lockstep with uneducated and unsubstantiated messages then they do a great dis-service to the American people whom they proport to serve. If you sincerley pursue the "truth" and the "need to know", it must be a unbiased approach or it is simply political and that is not straight and at its' base manipulative, which I personally, take offense at.

I'm afraid so, in the past that is. The Press is now revealing all the truths about the lies of the Bush administration. Hopefully the UN will try him for war crimes.

the press isn't about jounalism anymore, it's about gossip mongering. they're great at it. that's what should be on their degrees. i have my doubts about 750,000 iraqis and definitely doubt innocent. our troops gave their lives for the belief in freedom and wishing the same for all mankind. but that's not possible because too many people don't want freedom. and yes they have failed the american people.

The mainstream media is owned by the large corporations who own the politicians. They tell us what they want us to hear and ignore those who try to tell us what's really going on.

truly, politics rears it's head even in the pressroom. but then, when you consider who owns most of our major news sources, does it come as any surprise to learn that it is they themselves that are killing the stories before they can be printed? good question there.

The media has failed it's citizens. The media is so afraid of being black balled by the administration that they say to the people whatever the administration spoon feeds them.

It's incomprehensible!
